Our Cotswold Victorian Greenhouses are made from FSC Approved Tanalised Redwood Pine. Each greenhouse is handmade using only the very best, tried and tested methods, with no corners cut to provide a long lasting, well made greenhouse you can be proud of.
Superior Build Quality is a prerequisite with Cotswold wooden greenhouses. These greenhouses are not mass produced productsTmp made to a price, quite the opposite. These are the highest quality timber greenhouses made by skilled joiners. For instance our 56mm x 38mm Redwood frames and also doors are mortice and tennon jointed for superior strength, not nailed together. Our glazing is held in place by proper timber beading and all knots in the timber are properly sealed against shrinkage.
Slatted Staging and Shelving is standard on our greenhouses so that you have practical working and storage space straight away in your greenhouse the minute you take delivery.
4mm Full Length Toughened Safety Glass is the very best choice for us UK gardeners. It`s full length, eliminating drafts within the greenhouse and at the same it`s stiffer, cutting down on flexing in windy conditions. We use British Standard BS6206A safety glass. This glass withstands impacts far better than standard greenhouse glass and if it breaks, then it breaks into tiny rounded off pellets that won`t cause serious injury. Our Cotswold model`s glazing is fitted into the frame with high modulus sealant and then secured in place with timber beading keeping your glass snug in the frame, looking neat and tidy and also making replacing glass, should the need arise, very simple indeed.
