About our swallow falcon greenhouses
The Swallow Falcon is a 13ft wide wooden greenhouse, the largest standard model in the Swallow range. Built in Rotherham from Scandinavian ThermoWood® heat-treated at 215°C, it delivers growing space rivalling a small commercial polytunnel. The durability and aesthetics of premium timber set it apart. The Falcon features centre door, side door, and double-door access, making it practical for professional-scale gardening.
Available in lengths from 13x12 to 13x61, the Falcon suits allotment holders and market gardeners. It is ideal for growers who have outgrown standard 6ft and 8ft models. Every model includes 3mm toughened safety glass, slatted staging on one side, automatic roof vents, and double doors as standard. Why We Chose This Range
"The Falcon is for customers who are done compromising on space. At 13ft wide, you can run staging down both sides and still walk two abreast down the centre aisle. When we install these, it takes a full day with a two-person team. The ThermoWood frame handles exposed sites far better than any polycarbonate structure of the same size."
, Matt, Founder of Greenhouse StoresMatt's installation tip
The Falcon requires a substantial base. At 13ft wide, a concrete slab is the only practical option. Paving slabs at this width tend to settle unevenly over time. Budget £800-£1,200 for professional concrete preparation. The base must extend 50mm beyond the greenhouse footprint on all sides for the PVC damp barrier strip. Access to your garden must accommodate delivery vehicles carrying 4-metre timber sections.

How wide is the swallow falcon greenhouse?
The Falcon measures 13ft (3990mm) wide externally. This makes it the largest standard model Swallow manufactures. The internal width provides space for staging on both sides with a generous central walkway wide enough for a wheelbarrow.
-
What door options does the falcon offer?
The Falcon offers centre, side, and double-door access. The standard configuration includes secure double doors at one end. You can add a side door for cross-access without walking the full length. This triple-access design is unique to the Falcon in the Swallow range.
-
Does the swallow falcon need wood treatment?
No chemical wood treatment is required. ThermoWood is heat-treated at 215°C to remove moisture and resin, creating naturally rot-resistant timber. The oiled finish comes as standard and improves the appearance without being essential for protection. A 12-year manufacturer warranty covers all timber.
