The Elite Compact is a 4ft wide greenhouse range with an actual frame width of 1300mm, or 4ft 3in. Every length has double sliding doors, an integral low threshold base and built-in gutters. It is made in Great Britain and is part of our Elite greenhouses collection.

Our paid order data records 43 Compact orders between April and September 2026, our third most ordered Elite range. The 4x6 horticultural led with 9 orders, followed by 4x4 toughened with 7. How to choose your Elite Compact greenhouse

Choose the length after measuring your available space. Sizes are named width x length, so 4x6 means 4ft wide and 6ft long. Every Compact is actually 1300mm wide. If you need more width, the Elite Streamline is 1590mm, or 5ft 3in, with the same double doors.

Choose 3mm horticultural glass, 3mm toughened safety glass or 6mm polycarbonate. We recommend toughened glass when safety glazing is your priority. It is Grade A glass to EN12150. The 4x4 polycarbonate model starts at £829.

The package adds an automatic roof vent opener and a 5 blade louvre vent with an automatic opener. It also has staging down one side and a high level 2 slat shelf down one side. Packages start at £829. Choose this version if you want those fittings included.

Check access through the 600mm x 1750mm door opening before buying. The doors have a handle and cam lock with key. The frame is silver aluminium as standard, with 10 powder-coated finishes available. For a wall-mounted option, the Elite Windsor lean-to is 1297mm deep.

  Every Elite Compact is 1300mm wide, or 4ft 3in. Lengths are 4ft, 6ft, 8ft and 10ft, named 4x4, 4x6, 4x8 and 4x10. Eaves height is 1553mm, and ridge height is 2122mm.

• Will an Elite Compact greenhouse fit in a side passage?

  The Compact is 1300mm wide; the 4x4 needs a minimum 1300mm x 1351mm base. Measure your passage and planned base position before choosing a length. Check access to the 600mm x 1750mm door opening as well.

• What does an Elite Compact greenhouse package include?

  The package adds automatic ventilation, staging and a high level shelf. It includes an automatic roof vent opener and a 5 blade louvre vent with an automatic opener. The Compact package has staging and a high level 2 slat shelf, each down one side.

• What is the difference between horticultural and toughened glass on the Elite Compact?

  Both are 3mm glass; toughened is Grade A safety glass to EN12150. We recommend choosing toughened when safety glazing is your priority. The range also has a 6mm polycarbonate glazing option.

• Should I choose the Elite Compact or Elite Streamline?

  The Compact is 1300mm wide; the Streamline is 1590mm wide. That is 4ft 3in compared with 5ft 3in, and both have the same double doors. We recommend the Elite Streamline if your site has room and you want more width.
