About our palmako garden buildings
Palmako have manufactured premium timber garden buildings in Estonia for over 25 years. Their range spans saunas, garages, carports and log cabins built from slow-grown Nordic spruce. Every building uses chalet-cut interlocking logs that lock together tightly for superior wind and weather resistance.
Prices range from £2,590 for the Robert Carport to £5,990 for the Rasmus Garage. Each building arrives flat-packed with pre-cut components and clear assembly instructions. Having assembled many of these ourselves, we can confirm the joinery is precise and the timber quality is consistently high.
Why We Chose This Range
"We have been stocking Palmako for years because the build quality is outstanding. The chalet-cut logs lock together so tightly that draughts are never an issue. Their saunas in particular are genuinely well-insulated and ready for year-round use in the UK."

Types of palmako buildings we offer
Palmako wooden saunas
The Anette Sauna at £5,250 is a fully insulated barrel-style sauna built for British gardens. Pre-cut Nordic spruce panels slot together without specialist tools.
Palmako garages and carports
The Rasmus Garage at £5,990 fits a single car plus workbench space. The Robert Carport at £2,590 provides covered parking with an open-sided design.
Matt's Tip
Always lay a damp-proof membrane between the concrete base and the first row of logs. Palmako buildings are well-made but ground moisture will shorten the life of any timber structure without this simple step.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What timber do Palmako use for their garden buildings?
Palmako use slow-grown Nordic spruce from sustainably managed forests. This timber is naturally resinous and more resistant to rot than faster-grown alternatives. All logs are kiln-dried before machining to reduce warping and shrinkage after delivery.
-
Do Palmako buildings come with a warranty?
Every Palmako building includes a 5-year manufacturer warranty. This covers structural defects in the timber and joinery. We recommend treating the exterior with a quality wood preservative within 6 weeks of assembly to maintain the warranty conditions.
-
Can I use a Palmako sauna all year round in the UK?
Yes, Palmako saunas are insulated and designed for year-round UK use. The Anette model uses thick spruce walls that retain heat efficiently. We suggest adding a weather-resistant stain to the exterior and checking door seals annually for the best performance.
-
How long does it take to assemble a Palmako building?
Most Palmako buildings take two people between one and three days to assemble. The chalet-cut logs interlock without specialist tools. Larger structures like the Rasmus Garage may need a third person for lifting the roof beams into position.
-
Do I need planning permission for a Palmako garden building?
Most Palmako buildings fall under permitted development rules. Buildings under 2.5m at the eaves and 30 square metres in floor area typically do not need planning permission. Always check with your local planning authority before ordering if you are near a boundary or in a conservation area.
