About our power pent log cabins 28mm
Power 28mm pent log cabins feature a modern single-slope roof that sits neatly against a fence or boundary wall. Every cabin is built in Britain from sustainably sourced Scandinavian timber. Standard features include double-glazed uPVC windows, EPDM roofing and 5-point locks.
The 28mm tongue-and-groove walls make these cabins ideal for three-season use as a garden room, home office or hobby space. For year-round insulated use, consider the 44mm pent log cabin range. Browse all options in the Power garden buildings collection.
Why We Chose This Range
"Pent roofs are popular for a reason. They sit lower at the back so you can place them right up to a 2m fence without blocking light. The 28mm version keeps costs down while giving you proper double glazing. You still get the same 10-year warranty as the thicker range."

Matt's Tip
Position the low side of the pent roof towards the boundary and the high side facing the garden. This gives you maximum headroom where you walk in and directs rainwater away from your seating area.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is a pent roof log cabin?
A pent roof has a single slope that angles from front to back. This design sits lower at the rear, ideal for fence or boundary positions. It stays within permitted development height limits in most gardens.
-
Can I position a pent cabin against my garden fence?
Yes, the low rear profile is designed for exactly this purpose. The back wall sits below most 2m fences. Make sure you leave a 150mm gap between the cabin and fence for ventilation and timber treatment access.
-
Are 28mm pent cabins suitable for winter use?
They suit three-season use without additional insulation. The double-glazed windows and EPDM roof keep the interior dry and draught-free. For winter, add internal insulation boards and a small electric heater.
-
What maintenance do 28mm log cabins need?
Apply a quality wood preservative within 4 weeks of assembly. After that, re-treat the exterior every 2 to 3 years depending on exposure. Inspect the EPDM roof seals annually and clear any leaf debris from the drainage edge.
-
Do Power pent cabins include a floor?
Yes, all Power log cabins include 19mm tongue-and-groove floor boards. These sit on pressure-treated floor joists included in the kit. We recommend adding a moisture barrier sheet beneath the floor joists for extra protection against ground damp.
