Built in Rotherham by skilled carpenters, the Mallard features an 8ft gable width. A separate porch section creates two distinct growing zones. The painted finish adds an extra layer of weather protection to the already rot-resistant ThermoWood frame.
Every Mallard is constructed from Scandinavian ThermoWood heat-treated at 215C. Standard features include 3mm toughened safety glass, automatic roof vents, full-length slatted staging, and a mortise lock door. With the painted Mallard's T-shaped base, ask your groundworker to check the base plan dimensions twice. The porch section creates a complex footprint that must be exact. I also recommend choosing a lighter paint colour for T-shaped models. The porch interior gets less natural light than a standard rectangular greenhouse. Lighter colours help reflect light back onto your plants.
