About Our Vitavia Greenhouses
Vitavia builds German-engineered aluminium greenhouses with a focus on value. Our in-stock range starts at £269 for a compact lean-to and climbs to large 8ft-wide models for serious growers. We have fitted these greenhouses across the UK for 15 years. The frames use thick aluminium that resists British wind and rain. Browse the wider Aluminium Greenhouses range to compare options.
The line splits into clear ranges. Venus suits first-time growers and small gardens. Apollo adds a low-threshold door and taller eaves for easy access. Neptune, Jupiter and Saturn step up in width and headroom for bigger plots. Frames come in anodised silver, powder-coated green and black. Glazing is 3mm horticultural glass as standard, with toughened glass as an upgrade. Compare against the Elite Greenhouses range, or see our compact 6x4 Greenhouses for the smallest gardens.
Why We Chose This Range
"We have stocked Vitavia for over 15 years because the quality holds up for the price. The anodised silver frame needs no painting and stays clean for life. The low-threshold door on the Apollo has been a real win for customers using wheelbarrows or with mobility needs."
— Matt, Founder of Greenhouse Stores💡 Tip: Pick your frame colour for the look, not the strength. Silver, green and black all use the same aluminium. Silver is the lowest maintenance.
🔧 Matt's Installation Tip: Get the base level first
Every Vitavia greenhouse needs a firm, level base before assembly. We use 50mm paving slabs on a 50mm compacted sand bed. This lets you adjust a slab if the ground settles. The Apollo low-threshold door only slides smoothly on a true level, so check it with a long spirit level before you build.
Matt's Pick: Vitavia Venus 3800 6x6
Best For: First-time growers and small to mid-size gardens.
Why I Recommend It: It gives you real growing space at a low price. The 6x6 footprint fits tomatoes, cucumbers and seed trays without crowding a small garden.
Price: from £459

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How much do Vitavia greenhouses cost?
Our in-stock Vitavia greenhouses start at £269. Small Venus models begin near £395. Mid-size 6x8 and 8x10 greenhouses sit around £700 to £1,400. Large 8ft-wide Phoenix and Jupiter models reach £2,200 and above. Prices include free UK delivery and a 12-year frame warranty.
-
What colours do Vitavia greenhouses come in?
Three finishes: anodised silver, powder-coated green and powder-coated black. Silver is maintenance-free and never needs painting. Green and black suit gardens where you want the frame to blend in. All three use the same strong aluminium frame underneath.
-
Do Vitavia greenhouses need a foundation?
Yes, every model needs a firm and level base. You can buy the Vitavia steel base frame, build a treated timber perimeter, or lay paving slabs. The frame must be anchored down. We have step-by-step base guides on our blog.
-
What glazing do Vitavia greenhouses use?
Standard glazing is 3mm horticultural glass. It gives around 90% light transmission for healthy plants. You can upgrade to 4mm toughened safety glass. Toughened glass is far stronger and a good choice for windy or coastal sites.
-
Can I install a Vitavia greenhouse myself?
Yes, two people can build most models over a weekend. You need a spirit level, a rubber mallet and screwdrivers. Most 6x8 greenhouses take 12 to 16 hours. Our professional installation team can also fit it for you.
