The 5x2 Victoria Wooden Greenhouse measures 154cm wide, 70cm deep and 198cm tall. It is built from fir wood with 12mm tongue-and-groove cladding and clear acrylic glazing. Two roof windows open automatically to control temperature. Inside are foldable shelves and four tool hooks. A detachable planter box fits inside or outside. It weighs 52kg and works well on a balcony, a paved terrace or in a tight corner of a small garden.
The Victoria Wooden Mini Growhouse brings a classic glasshouse shape to a footprint that fits a patio. It measures 154cm wide and 70cm deep. It stands against a wall or in a courtyard corner without crowding the space. The natural fir-wood finish weathers gently and suits traditional and modern gardens alike.
When we handle these frames, the 12mm tongue-and-groove cladding feels solid for the size. Clear acrylic glazing runs down both sides and across the roof. Light reaches the plants from every angle. Acrylic is lighter than glass and will not shatter, which matters on a structure this compact.
Two roof windows open on automatic vents. They lift as the interior warms and close as it cools. You are not adjusting vents by hand on a hot afternoon. The dual-swing doors open wide for access and latch back when you want them held open.
Inside, the middle shelves fold flat against the frame. Raise them for seed trays or fold them away for taller plants. Four hooks take hand tools and twine. The planter box sits inside as an extra growing bed, or outside as a display trough.

A solid base is the backbone of any greenhouse. You might think skipping this step saves time, but trust me?I've seen plenty of greenhouses fail because of poor foundations. A dodgy base causes more headaches than you'd believe.
What happens with a bad base? Glass cracks. Doors jam. The structure twists. Water pools where it shouldn't. And fixing these problems costs way more than doing it right first time.

The best position for a greenhouse in the UK is south-facing with the ridge running east to west. Keep at least 2 metres from buildings and trees, on level ground with good drainage. A south-facing 6x8 greenhouse runs 3-5 degrees C warmer than the same model facing north.
