🔧 Matt's Installation Tip: The 8ft Foundation Check
At 8ft 5" wide, the Belmont has a much larger 'footprint' than standard models. This means ground heave and base levels are critical. If your base is out of level by more than 5mm across that 8ft span, the 6ft 3" high double doors will not meet correctly in the middle and the lock will bind.
I always recommend a 100mm concrete pad for the Belmont rather than just paving slabs. If you do use slabs, they must be on a full mortar bed. Crucially, when fitting the Automatic Louvre Opener included in this kit, ensure the louvre is positioned on the side facing the prevailing wind to ensure maximum draw of cool air across your 7-slat staging.
