About the elite streamline greenhouse starter kit range

The Elite Streamline Greenhouse Starter Kit is the definitive solution for gardeners managing intermediate spaces. At 5ft 3” wide, it offers a important 1ft of extra floor space over compact models, allowing for wider staging without sacrificing walkway comfort. This British-made package removes the complexity of greenhouse setup by including staging, shelving, automatic roof and louvre ventilation, and rainwater kits as standard. Engineered in Bolton, it features a built-in low-threshold base for professional-grade growing in medium-sized yards and patios.

Why We Chose This Range

“The Elite Streamline Starter Kit is our 'Goldilocks' greenhouse. For many UK gardens, 4ft is too cramped for staging, yet 6ft blocks the path. The 5ft width of the Streamline is the perfect compromise. We chose this bundle because it includes the automatic louvre opener, a technical necessity often overlooked in smaller houses. Small volumes of air heat up rapidly; having both the roof and louvre operating automatically ensures your seedlings won't 'cook' while you're at work.”

Matt's installation tip: the 5ft base balance

Because the Streamline is 5ft wide, it carries more glass weight on the roof than a compact model. This makes **base levelness** even more critical to prevent 'eave-spread'. If your base is out by even 4mm across the width, you will struggle to get the sliding doors to meet perfectly in the middle.

I recommend a **solid concrete pad or paving slabs on a full mortar bed**. Avoid laying slabs purely on sand for a structure of this specification. Importantly, when fitting the automatic roof vent opener included in this kit, ensure the greenhouse is fully glazed first; the weight of the glass provides the necessary resistance for the wax cylinder to calibrate correctly. Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is included in the Streamline Starter Kit bundle?

The Elite Streamline Starter Kit is a complete package. It includes the 5ft 3" wide frame, 3mm glass, integral base, double doors, a roof vent with automatic opener, a louvre vent with automatic opener, 4ft of staging, 4ft of shelving, rainwater downpipes, and 6 plant tying eyelets.

  • Why choose 5ft width over 4ft?

The extra foot of width (5ft 3" vs 4ft 3") allows for much more comfortable movement inside. It enables you to use wider staging for larger trays while still having a generous walkway for moving pots and tools.

  • Is the Elite Streamline British made?

Yes. All Elite greenhouses are manufactured in Bolton, UK. The Streamline range features their signature aluminium extrusions and comes with a 20-year framework warranty.

  • What sizes does the Elite Streamline package come in?

The Streamline package runs in 5x4, 5x6 and 5x8, all in the roomier 5ft width. The 5x4 suits a first proper greenhouse, while the 5x8 gives a long growing bench. Horticultural or toughened glass is your choice.

  • How much is the Elite Streamline starter package?

The 5x4 with horticultural glass starts at £879. Toughened glass and the longer sizes add to that. The bundle includes the matching base and staging.
