The Palram Canopia Orangery is the definitive T-shaped greenhouse, engineered to function as both a high-capacity growing zone and a sophisticated outdoor living space. By utilizing a Victorian T-shape design, models like the Victory and Triomphe create a central lobby with two dedicated wings for multi-zone cultivation. Built with high-impact, shatterproof polycarbonate and a reinforced anthracite aluminium frame, the Orangery offers the stately aesthetics of a traditional glass conservatory with modern, maintenance-free durability.
To maximize the potential of this multi-zone layout, we recommend browsing our Greenhouse Staging for the side wings and our Greenhouse Accessories for synchronized automatic ventilation.
Expert Note: If you live in a very windy or coastal spot, we recommend that you buy a Toughened Glass Greenhouse rather than polycarbonate, as the extra weight of glass provides superior wind resistance for large T-shaped structures.
Why We Chose This Range
“We stock the Palram Orangery range because it is the most affordable way to achieve a 'Cathedral' style garden feature. Most T-shaped greenhouses cost upwards of £5,000, but Palram has utilized their snap-together aluminium system to make this grand design accessible. We specifically chose the Victory model for its hybrid glazing; the twin-wall roof provides the thermal buffering needed to keep the central lobby comfortable, while the clear walls allow you to showcase your plants as a true garden gallery.”

Because of the T-shaped footprint, the Orangery is twice as sensitive to base levels as a standard rectangular model. If your concrete pad is even 5mm out of level at the front 'porch' section, the double doors will fail to meet, and you'll see gaps in the ridge beam.
I recommend building a single, solid concrete raft rather than using slabs for this specific model. This ensures the frame remains perfectly square across all angles. Crucially, ensure you use expansion bolts into the concrete base to maintain the structural integrity of the T-joint and satisfy the 10-year warranty requirements. Read our full base guide here.

Does the T-shape help with wind resistance?
The T-shape provides a wider structural footprint which aids stability, but it creates more 'wind traps' than a rectangular model. This is why anchoring to a solid concrete foundation is mandatory for the Orangery range to ensure it meets its 56mph wind rating.
Is the polycarbonate safe for family gardens?
Absolutely. The Palram Orangery uses 100% shatterproof polycarbonate. Unlike traditional glass, these panels will not break into dangerous shards if hit by a football or garden tool, making it the safest choice for homes with children or pets.
What is included as standard with the Victory Orangery?
The Victory comes complete with a powder-coated steel base plinth, double outward-opening locking doors, and roof vents. It also features a built-in gutter system to allow for rainwater collection.
