Why we no longer stock Suncast
Suncast is a US resin storage brand. We sold its plastic sheds and storage boxes for years, but the range is no longer available to us in the UK. Rather than leave this page empty, we point Suncast buyers towards the maintenance-free sheds we do stock, so you can find a like-for-like replacement without starting your search again. The closest match by build and price is the Palram Canopia plastic shed range.
What Palram Canopia gives you instead
Palram Canopia builds plastic sheds the same way Suncast did, with a few upgrades. The walls are double-skinned polypropylene or HDPE, the roof uses translucent polycarbonate that lets daylight in while staying opaque from outside, and the frame is reinforced aluminium rather than bare plastic. Like Suncast, there is nothing to paint, treat or repair. Unlike most Suncast models, the larger Palram sheds are tall enough to stand up and work in. For smaller jobs, our garden storage boxes replace the Suncast deck boxes and cushion stores.

Matt's installation tip: anchor it down
Plastic sheds are light, so wind is the real enemy, not rot. Suncast units used to slide across a patio in a gale, and Palram sheds will too if you skip this step. Set the shed on level concrete or paving, then bolt it down through the floor anchor points with M8 thunderbolts into concrete, or heavy screw pegs into paving. Do not rely on the weight of your mower to hold it in a storm.
Matt's Pick: best Suncast replacement
Best For: the most common Suncast swap, a family-sized maintenance-free shed
Why I Recommend It: the 6x8 Rubicon is tall enough to stand and work in, the dark grey panels hide the contents, and the floor and lock are built in. It does everything the mid-size Suncast sheds did and lasts longer.

Frequently asked questions about plastic sheds
-
Do you still sell Suncast sheds?
No. The Suncast plastic shed and resin storage range is no longer available to us in the UK. We recommend the Palram Canopia plastic shed range as the closest maintenance-free alternative, with sizes and prices to match most Suncast models.
-
Which Palram shed is closest to my old Suncast?
For a small Suncast tool store, the Voyager 4x3 is the match. For a mid-size Suncast shed, choose the 6x5 Skylight or 6x8 Rubicon. For the largest Suncast buildings, the Yukon 11x9 gives you walk-in workshop space.
-
Do I need a base for a plastic shed?
Yes, a level hard-standing base is essential. Although these sheds include a floor, the structure must sit on concrete, paving or decking. Building on grass or soil lets the floor shift, which throws the doors out of line.
-
Will the plastic fade or go brittle in the sun?
No. We only stock UV-stable polycarbonate and HDPE sheds. Budget PVC sheds crack after a few seasons, but Palram panels are tested to take harsh UK sun for ten years or more without yellowing.
-
Are the sheds secure?
Yes. Every model has a door latch that takes a padlock (not supplied), and the opaque walls and roof keep the contents out of sight. The polycarbonate panels do not shatter, so they resist forced entry better than glass or thin metal.
