About Our Swallow Mallard Dwarf Wall Greenhouses
The Swallow Mallard Dwarf Wall Greenhouse is a T-shaped orangery with an 8ft gable width. It sits on a brick or block dwarf wall base, typically 600mm high. The wall retains heat overnight and adds structural stability. The T-shape design creates two distinct zones: a main growing area and a separate porch for potting and access.
We stock six sizes from the Swallow Mallard 8x11 Dwarf Wall to the expansive Swallow Mallard 8x32 Dwarf Wall. Prices start from £9,829. For the standard base version, see our Swallow Mallard Greenhouses. Browse our full Swallow Greenhouses range or explore other T-Shaped Wooden Greenhouses.
Why We Chose This Range
"The Mallard Dwarf Wall is our most popular T-shaped orangery on a brick base. The 8ft gable gives serious growing space. The dwarf wall holds heat so well that tomatoes grow three to four weeks longer into autumn. On a south-facing wall, the brick keeps internal temperature above freezing well into December."

Matt's Installation Tip: Coordinating Your Bricklayer
The T-shape base plan has exact measurements for the junction where the porch meets the main body. This is the area most bricklayers get wrong. Ask your bricklayer to build the straight sections first. Tackle the junction last when the corners are set. Allow three weeks for mortar to cure before our installation date. We supply the base plan with every order.
How much does a Swallow Mallard Dwarf Wall Greenhouse cost?
Prices range from £9,829 to £15,802. Every price includes the ThermoWood frame, oiled finish, and 3mm toughened safety glass. Automatic roof vent openers, staging, and free installation are also included. Pay 20% deposit and the balance after installation.
What is the difference between the Mallard and the Cygnet Dwarf Wall?
The Mallard has an 8ft gable width compared to the Cygnet's 6ft 8". This gives the Mallard significantly more internal space. The Mallard also has a wider range of lengths available (11ft to 32ft). Both share the same T-shape design, ThermoWood construction, and dwarf wall base option.
What wall specifications does the Mallard Dwarf Wall need?
The dwarf wall is typically 600mm high with exact dimensions provided by Swallow. The wall must be perfectly level and square across the entire T-shape perimeter. Engineering bricks or standard house bricks both work well. The internal face can be rendered or left as exposed brick.
Can I add a painted finish to the Mallard Dwarf Wall?
Yes, 10 factory paint colours are available. The oiled finish is standard. Popular paint choices include Bracken, Anthracite, and Lily White. Factory painting costs extra and is sprayed before delivery for a smooth, even finish. The paint protects against UV fading for 5-7 years.
How long does delivery and installation take?
Delivery and installation takes 8-12 weeks from order. Your dwarf wall must be complete and cured before our team arrives. We give two to three weeks notice of the confirmed installation date. The team erects the full frame, glazing, staging, and fittings in one to two days depending on size.
