About our swallow cygnet dwarf wall greenhouses
The Swallow Cygnet Dwarf Wall Greenhouse is a T-shaped orangery with a 6ft 8" gable width. It sits on a brick or block dwarf wall base, typically 600mm high. The wall retains heat overnight, reduces low-level glass breakage, and gives a traditional Victorian appearance. An apex-roofed porch adds dedicated potting and access space.
We stock three sizes from the Swallow Cygnet 6x11 Dwarf Wall to the Swallow Cygnet 6x19 Dwarf Wall. Prices start from £8,041. For the standard base version, see our Swallow Cygnet Greenhouses. Browse our full Swallow Greenhouses range or explore other T-Shaped Wooden Greenhouses.
Why We Chose This Range
"The Cygnet Dwarf Wall is my top recommendation for customers who want an orangery-style greenhouse with proper insulation. The brick base holds warmth from the afternoon sun well into the evening. When we fit these, the difference in overnight temperature compared to a standard base is noticeable straight away. The T-shape porch also gives you a sheltered entrance that keeps cold draughts away from your plants."

Matt's Installation Tip: Dwarf Wall Specifications
Your bricklayer needs to build the dwarf wall to exact dimensions supplied by Swallow. The wall is typically 600mm high and must be perfectly level across the full T-shape perimeter. I recommend getting the wall built at least three weeks before our installation date so the mortar cures fully. We supply a detailed base plan with every order.

How much does a Swallow Cygnet Dwarf Wall Greenhouse cost?
Prices range from £8,041 to £9,653. Every price includes the ThermoWood frame, oiled finish, and 3mm toughened safety glass. Automatic roof vent openers, staging, guttering, and free installation are also included. Pay 20% deposit and the balance after installation.
-
What wall height does the Cygnet Dwarf Wall need?
The dwarf wall is typically 600mm high. Swallow provides exact dimensions and a base plan with every order. Your bricklayer builds the wall to these specifications. The wall must be perfectly level and square, especially around the T-shape junction where the porch meets the main body.
-
Do I need a bricklayer for the dwarf wall?
Yes, you arrange the bricklayer separately. The dwarf wall base is your responsibility. We recommend hiring a local bricklayer experienced with garden structures. Most customers use standard engineering bricks or reclaimed brick to match their house. Allow three weeks for mortar to cure before our installation team arrives.
-
How does the Cygnet Dwarf Wall compare to the standard Cygnet?
The dwarf wall version sits on brick rather than a timber base board. This provides better thermal insulation, reducing overnight heat loss. The wall also adds structural rigidity and a more traditional appearance. Internal growing space is the same. The dwarf wall version costs more due to the additional frame engineering required.
-
What finish comes as standard on the Cygnet Dwarf Wall?
An oiled finish is standard on all Swallow Cygnet Dwarf Wall models. The oil protects the ThermoWood and gives a warm honey-brown appearance. Painted finishes are available in 10 factory colours for an additional cost. The ThermoWood timber is rot-resistant regardless of finish choice.
