The Swallow Swan Painted Greenhouse is the largest T-shaped model in the Swallow range. It comes with a factory-sprayed painted finish as standard. Built in Rotherham by skilled carpenters and joiners, the Swan features an 8ft 9 inch gable and porch width. This is Swallow's flagship painted orangery, offering the most internal space of any T-shaped wooden greenhouse on the UK market.
Every Swan Painted model is constructed from Scandinavian ThermoWood heat-treated at 215C. Standard features include 3mm toughened safety glass, automatic roof vents, and full-length slatted staging. A mortise lock door with stainless steel handle is fitted. Prices range from £10,815 to £15,702, with free professional installation included. Matt's Installation Tip
The Swan Painted is the largest T-shaped greenhouse we install. The base preparation is critical. I strongly recommend a concrete base for all Swan models because of the 8ft 9 inch span. Paving slabs can work but any unevenness will show immediately on a structure this wide. Get your groundworker to use a laser level and check every corner. The painted finish shows up any frame distortion more than the oiled version, so the base must be perfect.
Why choose the painted Swan over the oiled version?
The factory-sprayed paint provides superior aesthetics and weather protection. The oiled Swallow Swan will silver naturally over time. The painted version maintains its colour for 5-8 years and creates a more formal garden feature. On a structure as large as the Swan, the consistent factory finish is far more effective than hand-painting after installation.
What paint colours are available for the Swan Painted?
Ten standard factory-sprayed colours are available. Options include Lily White, Lulworth Blue, Vert De Terre, and Bracken. Also available are Olive, Railings, Anthracite, Mole's Breath, Purbeck Stone, and Oxford Stone. Custom colour matches are available for a surcharge. Lily White and Railings are the most popular choices for the Swan because they complement the traditional orangery profile.
How does the Swan Painted compare to the Mallard Painted?
The Swan is 9 inches wider than the Mallard across the full structure. Both are T-shaped orangery designs with factory-painted finishes. The Swan's wider porch at 8ft 9 inches can accommodate a small table and chairs. The Mallard Painted at 8ft width is better for gardens where space is tighter. Both share ThermoWood construction and a 12-year warranty.
What base does a Swan Painted Greenhouse need?

Is free installation included with the Swan Painted?
Yes, free professional installation is included in every price. Our team delivers and erects the complete structure on your prepared base. Installation takes 1-2 days depending on size. You pay 20% deposit when ordering and the balance after installation is complete. Delivery and installation is typically 8-12 weeks from order.
