Installation requires that you purchase the Base Plinth Option if one is available. You MUST have a surface of slabs, concrete or decking. NOT soil or gravel.
The 8x6 Vitavia Orion 5000 Greenhouse uses u/v protected acrylic panels for the curved eave sections. Beautiful !
The curved eaves on the Orion really do look smart and set this little greenhouse apart from the crowd. The Vitavia Orion is also the only curvy greenhouse available with integrated gutters, so no wasting all that lovely rain water ! The Orion benefits from high eaves to give room for high plants and the ridge height is a whopping 7ft 6" without adding a metal base !
Toughened Glass is very heavy which means it`s ideal in windy spots and if it does break it breaks down into little pebbles rather than dangerous shards. Safe and probably the best glazing option for the UK and our unpredictable weather ! This Vitavia Orion 8x6 has a single opening roof vent for ventilation, a smooth single sliding door and integral gutters.
Also known as the Vitavia Washington.
Place on hard or soft ground! Our Vitavia Green steel bases come with corner posts for installation on soft ground. These 18-inch posts can be sunk into soil and concreted in place for stability. For hard surfaces like slabs or concrete, simply omit the posts.
Our toughened safety glass offers superior clarity and durability. It's designed to break into small, less harmful pieces, providing enhanced safety for your greenhouse environment.

A solid base is the backbone of any greenhouse. You might think skipping this step saves time, but trust me—I've seen plenty of greenhouses fail because of poor foundations. A dodgy base causes more headaches than you'd believe.
What happens with a bad base? Glass cracks. Doors jam. The structure twists. Water pools where it shouldn't. And fixing these problems costs way more than doing it right first time.
Read MorePlacing your greenhouse in the right spot makes all the difference between thriving plants and disappointing results. I made this mistake myself when I first started - my poorly positioned greenhouse meant I was fighting an uphill battle with inadequate light and temperature fluctuations.
