About Our Swallow Swan Dwarf Wall Greenhouses
The Swallow Swan Dwarf Wall Greenhouse is the largest T-shaped orangery in the Swallow range. With an 8ft 9" gable and porch width, it provides the most growing space of any T-shape model. The dwarf wall base, typically 600mm high, retains heat overnight and gives a traditional Victorian orangery appearance.
We stock five sizes from the Swallow Swan 8x13 Dwarf Wall to the impressive Swallow Swan 8x30 Dwarf Wall. Prices start from £10,574. For the standard base version, see our Swallow Swan Greenhouses. Browse our full Swallow Greenhouses range or explore other T-Shaped Wooden Greenhouses.
Why We Chose This Range
"The Swan Dwarf Wall is the finest greenhouse we install. The 8ft 9" width across both the main body and the porch creates a proper room. It feels like an extension rather than just a growing structure. On a dwarf wall base, the heat retention is outstanding. I have customers who use the porch section as a garden room with seating through the summer months. The brick base makes the whole structure feel permanent and adds genuine value to the property."

Matt's Installation Tip: Planning a Large T-Shape Dwarf Wall
The Swan is our largest T-shape, and the dwarf wall perimeter is significant. I recommend using a string line and spirit level at every course of bricks. The T-junction where the porch meets the main body is the most critical area. Get this wrong by even 10mm and the frame will not sit correctly. Allow four weeks for mortar to cure on larger models. We supply detailed base plans and are happy to speak with your bricklayer directly.
How much does a Swallow Swan Dwarf Wall Greenhouse cost?
Prices range from £10,574 to £15,353. Every price includes the ThermoWood frame, oiled finish, and 3mm toughened safety glass. Automatic roof vent openers, staging, guttering, and free installation are also included. Pay 20% deposit and the balance after installation.
How does the Swan Dwarf Wall compare to the Mallard Dwarf Wall?
The Swan is wider at 8ft 9" compared to the Mallard's 8ft gable. The Swan also has a wider porch at 8ft 9" versus the Mallard's narrower porch. This makes the Swan the most spacious T-shaped Swallow. The Swan suits customers who want maximum internal room. The Mallard is better for gardens where the extra 9 inches of width is a constraint.
What dwarf wall height does the Swan need?
The dwarf wall is typically 600mm high. Swallow provides exact dimensions and a T-shape base plan with every order. The wall must be level, square, and fully cured before our installation team arrives. Most customers use engineering bricks or matching house bricks.
Can I use the Swan porch as a garden room?
Yes, many customers use the 8ft 9" porch as a seating area. The wide porch accommodates a small table and chairs comfortably. The dwarf wall base adds insulation that makes the porch usable from March through October. Add a paraffin heater for winter use.
What finish options are available?
Oiled finish is standard on all Swan Dwarf Wall models. Ten factory paint colours are available including Lily White, Bracken, Sage, and Anthracite. Factory painting is sprayed before delivery. The ThermoWood timber is rot-resistant regardless of finish, backed by a 12-year manufacturer warranty.
Does the Swan Dwarf Wall need planning permission?
Most Swallow Swan models fall within permitted development rules. The structure must be under 3m at the ridge and at least 2m from boundaries. It must cover less than 50% of your garden. Dwarf wall models are slightly taller than standard versions. Check with your local planning authority before ordering.
