The Swallow Swan Greenhouse is the largest T-shaped model in the Swallow range. Built in Rotherham by skilled carpenters and joiners, it features an 8ft 9 inch gable and porch width. This is Swallow's flagship orangery design, offering the most internal space of any T-shaped wooden greenhouse on the UK market. We have been fitting Swan greenhouses for over 12 years. Every Swan is constructed from Scandinavian ThermoWood heat-treated at 215C. This makes the timber naturally rot-resistant without chemical preservatives. Standard features include 3mm toughened safety glass, automatic roof vents, and full-length slatted staging. A mortise lock door with stainless steel handle is fitted. Matt's Installation Tip
The Swan's wide T-shaped footprint needs careful base preparation. We recommend a concrete base for all Swan models because of the span involved. The porch section is 8ft 9 inches wide and any unevenness across that width will show in the door alignment. Get your groundworker to check diagonals and use a laser level rather than a spirit level. This saves our fitting team time and ensures a perfect result.
Why is the Swan the largest T-shaped Swallow model?
The Swan has an 8ft 9 inch width across both the gable and porch sections. This is wider than the Mallard (8ft) and significantly wider than the Cygnet (6ft 8 inches). Yes, free professional installation is included in every Swan price. Our team delivers and erects the complete structure on your prepared base. Installation takes 1-2 days depending on size.
