About Our Elite Sanctuary 8ft Wide Greenhouses
The Elite Sanctuary 8ft is the only greenhouse we sell that genuinely doubles as a garden room. At 8ft 4in wide with 6ft 7in (2025mm) eaves, it comfortably fits a bistro table and chairs alongside staging — something no other 8ft model can do. Built on the heavy-duty Titan Core-Vect box-section frame, it provides the strength of a commercial greenhouse with the aesthetics of a glass studio.
We stock 8 sizes from the compact 8x6 to the expansive 8x20. Every model includes 4mm toughened safety glass, bar capping, and flexible door positioning. For a narrower version, see the Elite Sanctuary 6ft. For an 8ft greenhouse focused purely on growing (lower price, standard eaves), see the Elite Belmont. For the same 8ft width with a dramatic steep roof, see the Elite Zenith.
Why We Chose This Range
"We stock the Sanctuary 8ft because it is the only greenhouse that successfully doubles as a summerhouse. Most hybrid greenhouses are flimsy. This uses the same Titan Core-Vect bars as Elite's commercial growers, meaning it does not rattle in the wind. If you want the strength of a Titan 800 but need the aesthetics of a garden studio — glass to ground, high eaves, side-door access — this is the only choice."

Dual-Purpose Interior
The 8ft 4in width is the key difference from the 6ft model. It allows you to place a bistro set or small dining table in the centre while still having room for staging along the walls. No other 8ft greenhouse offers this layout.
Flexible Door Positioning
The Modul-Air system allows double sliding doors on the front gable, rear gable, or any side bay. Open the greenhouse directly onto a patio. Create a seamless indoor-outdoor flow that traditional greenhouses cannot achieve.
Titan-Strength Frame
The same Core-Vect box-section bars as the Elite Titan 800. No internal bracing needed, keeping the interior completely open. The wider span does not compromise structural integrity.
Family-Safe Specification
4mm toughened safety glass and bar capping are standard. The glass shatters into small cubes, not sharp shards. The low threshold base removes trip hazards. Ideal for families with children using it as a garden room.

🔧 Matt's Installation Tip: Side Door Alignment
The Sanctuary's Modul-Air system lets you hang the double doors on the long side of the greenhouse. This looks stunning but requires precision on your base.
Unlike gable doors which hang from the roof peak, side doors hang from the eaves beam. If your base dips in the middle of the long span, the eaves beam bows and the doors jam. You must ensure your base is perfectly level along the entire length. Use a long spirit level and check every 2ft. For the 8ft width, a 100mm concrete pad is strongly recommended over paving slabs. Read our full base preparation guide here.
The Sanctuary 8ft range starts from £2,130 for the 8x6. All models include the Titan Core-Vect frame, 4mm toughened glass, bar capping, integral low threshold base, and a 20-year warranty. Free UK delivery included. Our professional installation service handles the complete build. For the widest Elite standard range (12ft), see the Elite Classique. Frequently Asked Questions
-
Is the Sanctuary 8ft wide enough for furniture?
Yes, 8ft 4in comfortably fits a bistro table and chairs plus staging. The key difference from the 6ft model is this dual-purpose capability. You can have a 4-seat dining table at one end and full-length staging at the other with a clear aisle between them.
-
How does it differ from the Elite Titan 800?
Both use the same Titan Core-Vect frame, but the Sanctuary has taller eaves. The Titan 800 has standard 5ft 2in eaves designed for pure growing efficiency. The Sanctuary has 6ft 7in eaves with glass-to-ground glazing, prioritising headroom and garden room aesthetics.
-
Can I put the doors on the side?
Yes, the doors can go on the front gable, rear gable, or any side bay. The Modul-Air design provides complete flexibility. Side-door positioning lets you open the greenhouse directly onto a patio, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
-
Is the Sanctuary safe for children?
Yes, 4mm toughened safety glass and bar capping are included as standard. The glass shatters into small cubes rather than sharp shards. Bar capping covers any exposed metal edges on glazing bars. The low threshold base removes trip hazards at the entrance.
-
What is the difference between the 6ft and 8ft Sanctuary?
The 8ft model adds 2ft of width, enabling furniture alongside staging. Both share the same 6ft 7in eaves, Titan frame, and specification. The 6ft model suits narrow side returns. The 8ft model suits garden room use where you want to sit inside comfortably.
-
Does the Sanctuary include bar capping?
Yes, bar capping is included as standard on every Sanctuary model. This continuous rubber strip locks each glass pane to the frame along its full length. It provides superior wind resistance compared to wire clips and gives a neat, professional finish with improved draft-proofing.
