Quick Tip: Base Preparation
Lifetime sheds include their own floor, so you do not need a concrete base. However, the ground must be flat and firm. We recommend laying the shed on compacted hardcore or paving slabs for the best result. Read our guide to building a concrete shed base if your ground is uneven or soft.
Matt's Installation Tip
When we install Lifetime sheds, the most common problem is panels being forced together on uneven ground. Take 30 minutes to get the base dead level before you start. Use a spirit level across the full footprint in both directions. If one corner sits 10 mm higher than the others, the door mechanism jams and the skylight panels will not seal properly. A bag of sharp sand under the floor panels costs £5 and saves hours of frustration.
