We stock 6 small plastic sheds starting from £325 for the Palram Voyager 4x3. The range covers 4ft and 6ft wide models in compact depths of 3ft to 6ft. Choose from three styles: the Voyager, the Skylight with its translucent roof, and the Pent with a sloped pitch. All six use aluminium frames with shatterproof polycarbonate panels.

These small sheds suit tight gardens, patios, side passages, and spaces where a full-size shed will not fit. The Skylight models come in grey or tan. Every model includes a built-in floor panel, lockable door, and gable or single-pitch ventilation. No maintenance required. Palram back each shed with a 10-year warranty covering UV degradation and structural failure.

About Our Small Plastic Sheds

We stock six small plastic sheds starting from £325 for the Voyager 4x3 storage unit up to £479 for the Pent 4x6. This collection brings together every compact option in our Palram Canopia range — all under £500, all zero-maintenance, all with free UK delivery.

Small plastic sheds are built for tight spaces. The 4ft wide models fit in side passages and against walls. The 6x3 Skylight models give you the full 6ft width in the shallowest depth available. For larger options, see our 6ft wide plastic sheds which go up to 6x12. Every shed here uses an aluminium frame with polycarbonate panels. No painting, no treating, no rust.

Why We Chose This Range

"Small gardens deserve proper storage. I put this collection together for customers who tell us they haven't got room for a shed. You'd be surprised where a 4x3 Voyager or a 6x3 Skylight fits — along a fence, behind a garage, in the gap between a house and boundary wall. These aren't flimsy boxes. They use the same aluminium frame construction as our larger models and they'll outlast any timber shed at this price point."

Types of Small Plastic Sheds

Voyager Storage Unit

The Voyager 4x3 (£325) is a lockable front-access storage unit designed for garden chemicals, hand tools, and smaller equipment. It's not a walk-in shed — you open the doors and reach in. Perfect for patios, balconies, and courtyard gardens where a full shed won't fit.

Skylight Sheds (Apex Roof)

Four Skylight models with the classic apex roof and translucent SkyLight panel: 4x6 Grey (£459), 4x6 Tan (£475), 6x3 Grey (£469), and 6x3 Tan (£469). All are walk-in sheds with lockable doors and built-in floors.

Skylight Pent (Sloped Roof)

The Pent 4x6 Grey (£479) has a single-slope roof that sits neatly against a wall or fence. The sloped design directs rainwater to the rear. It has the widest door opening of any small shed at 1002mm — wide enough for a push mower. Ideal for wall-side installation.

Small Plastic Shed Comparison

Model Type Width Depth Roof Colour Price
Voyager 4x3 Storage unit 4ft 3ft Apex Grey £325
Skylight 4x6 Shed 4ft 6ft Apex Grey £459
Skylight 6x3 Shed 6ft 3ft Apex Grey £469
Skylight 6x3 Shed 6ft 3ft Apex Tan £469
Skylight 4x6 Shed 4ft 6ft Apex Tan £475
Pent 4x6 Shed 4ft 6ft Pent Grey £479

Quick Tip: The 6x3 Skylight is wider than the 4x6 models but much shallower. Choose the 6x3 if you have width along a fence but limited depth. Choose the 4x6 if you have a narrow slot but more depth available. Both give roughly the same internal floor area — just in different orientations.

Matt's Pick for Small Plastic Sheds

Best For: Widest small shed — fits along fences and boundaries

Why I Recommend It: The 6x3 Grey is the widest shed in our small range at 1880mm. That extra width compared to the 4ft models makes a real difference when organising garden tools along the back wall. It sits neatly along a fence line and at just 3ft deep it barely intrudes into your garden space.

Matt's Installation Tip: Small Shed Base Preparation

Small sheds are the easiest to base-prepare but the same rules apply. A couple of paving slabs on a thin layer of compacted sharp sand is all you need. The base must be level — use a spirit level across both diagonals before placing the shed.

For the Pent model going against a wall, leave a 50mm gap between the shed and the wall for airflow. Point the slope away from the wall so water drains clear. For the Voyager, ensure the ground slopes slightly away from the front doors to prevent puddles forming at the entrance.

All six small plastic sheds include free UK delivery and a 10-year warranty. Prices range from £325 to £479. Every model needs zero maintenance — no painting, no staining, no wood preservative. They won't rot, rust, or warp.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much do small plastic sheds cost?

Our small plastic sheds range from £325 to £479. The Voyager 4x3 storage unit starts at £325. Skylight sheds run from £459 to £475 depending on size and colour. The Pent 4x6 is £479. All prices include free UK delivery.

  • What's the smallest plastic shed you sell?

The Voyager 4x3 is our smallest option at 4ft wide by 3ft deep. It's a front-access storage unit rather than a walk-in shed. For the smallest walk-in shed, the Skylight 6x3 offers 6ft of width in just 3ft of depth — enough to step inside and access tools stored along the back wall.

  • Which small shed is best for a narrow garden?

The 4x6 Skylight or Pent models are best for narrow spaces. At just 1175–1250mm (4ft) wide, they fit in side passages and against walls where a 6ft shed won't go. The Pent version tucks against walls neatly with its sloped roof. If you have width along a fence but limited depth, the 6x3 Skylight is the better choice.

  • Can one person assemble a small plastic shed?

Yes, all six models can be assembled by one person in 1–3 hours. The Voyager takes around 90 minutes. The Skylight and Pent models take 2–3 hours. All panels slot into aluminium channels without drilling. A step ladder is helpful for the roof panels but not essential at these heights.

  • Are small plastic sheds secure?

Yes, every model has lockable doors as standard. The polycarbonate panels resist impact far better than glass or thin plastic sheet. They can't be kicked in like a timber panel. For garden chemicals and power tool storage, the lockable doors provide peace of mind. You can add a padlock hasp for extra security.

  • Do small plastic sheds need a base?

Yes, but a simple paving slab base is sufficient. Two or three standard paving slabs on a 50mm layer of compacted sharp sand creates a stable, level foundation. Don't place directly on grass or soil — it will settle unevenly and the doors won't close properly. The base should match the shed footprint exactly.

  • What can I store in a small plastic shed?

Garden tools, outdoor furniture cushions, bikes, and garden chemicals. The 4x6 models hold a push mower, garden tools, and a couple of folding chairs. The 6x3 suits long-handled tools stored along the back wall. The Voyager is designed for chemicals, hand tools, and smaller items. None of these models are large enough for ride-on mowers.
