The Elite Belmont is our most popular greenhouse frame. It uses thick aluminium profiles that handle strong winds. Horticultural glass kits suit experienced growers who want maximum light. Toughened glass kits cost more but are five times stronger and safer around children. Both options are available in every size.

Matt's Tip
Set up your staging along the north-facing wall so it does not block sunlight from reaching your plants. Put tall crops like tomatoes on the south side of the greenhouse. This arrangement gives every plant the most light possible. I set up every kit this way when I install them.

What is included in a greenhouse starter kit?
Each kit includes a greenhouse, auto vent, louvre vent, staging and base. The auto vent opens the roof window automatically when temperatures rise above 15°C. The staging gives you a waist-height work surface for seed trays and potting. All fixings and instructions are included.
Should I choose horticultural or toughened glass?
Horticultural glass lets in 2% more light but breaks into sharp shards. Toughened safety glass is five times stronger and crumbles into blunt pieces if it breaks. Choose toughened if you have children, pets or live in an exposed area. Horticultural is fine for sheltered gardens.
Do starter kits include a base?
Yes, every starter kit includes a steel base kit. The base raises the greenhouse 150mm off the ground for better drainage and access. You still need a level surface underneath. A concrete pad, compacted gravel or paving slabs all work well.
Can I add extra accessories later?
Yes, all Elite Belmont accessories fit any kit. Popular additions include extra shelving tiers, seed tray inserts and rainwater gutter kits. You can bolt these onto the existing frame at any time without modifying the greenhouse structure.
How long does a starter kit take to build?
Most starter kits take two people 6-8 hours to assemble. We include step-by-step instructions with photographs. The base goes down first, then the frame, then the glass. Fitting the accessories takes an extra hour. We also offer free installation if you prefer us to do it.
