Clear Polycarbonate: This polycarbonate is completely clear like glass. It is very thin at 0.2mm, but extremely tough and shatterproof. Twin Wall Polycarbonate: This polycarbonate is virtually unbreakable and high impact resistant. They are slightly opaque, preventing strong sunlight exposure, yet offer 80% light transmission with high thermal insulation. The panels are 100% UV protected and will not discolour, fracture or shatter.

Is polycarbonate glazing strong enough?

Yes it’s shatterproof and high impact resistant. However, as polycarbonate is very light, we do not recommend placing these greenhouses in exposed areas with high wind.

Does the greenhouse come with a floor?

No, there is no floor or base. These greenhouses are ideally to be placed on a concrete, slab or decking base.

How do I secure the greenhouse to my foundation?

We recommend securing the greenhouse to a hard, level surface (concrete, slabs, or decking) immediately after construction. This is essential for the stability and rigidity of your new greenhouse. You can use a screw and a washer through the compatible pre-drilled holes in the greenhouse frame into a raw plug in your concrete/slab surface.

The Palram - Canopia Hybrid 6x10 combines the benefits of both Twin Wall and Single Wall Polycarbonate into one very clever Greenhouse.

The Hybrid 6ft x 10ft greenhouse is packed with some excellent features. Clear as glass polycarbonate panels are used on the sides of the greenhouse to let light get to the plants while the Twin Wall Polycarbonate roof panels both defuse harmful UV rays while adding insulation to the greenhouse. There is also a proper opening door with latch and the slide in glazing system where you won`t be needing fiddly glazing clips. The slide in glazing system also helps with wind resistance to help stop glazing popping out in windy conditions.

This Palram - Canopia Hybrid 6x10 has a single opening roof vent for ventilation, an outward opening door, aluminium base and integral gutters.

Palram Canopia Hybrid 6x8 Grey Polycarbonate Greenhouse

I was really disappointed with the quality of the 6x8 Palram Canopia Hybrid Polycarbonate Greenhouse. It was a replacement for an old and larger traditional glass greenhouse. The framework is quite flimsy and the polycarbonate was much thinner than expected. Assembling the greenhouse was not easy and we were unable to get all sections into the correct positions,this was despite having had a purpose-made base to ensure the frame would be square. This left panels vulnerable to winds - the whole front and some side panels came off in one of the recent storms in the UK. There weren't any local installers who may have been able to do a better quality assembly so we had to assemble ourselves

6x8 Palram Canopia Hybrid Polycarbonate Greenhouse

The greenhouse arrived in good time, I had a couple of problems that a couple of the thin bars was twisted and I had to get these untwisted to make sure they fit correctly. I also found that a couple or the clear panels had warped on the edges which I had to use a heat gun to put back to normal. Overall i do not normally complain, but as feedback has been requested I would say its good for a beginner but I would not invest in one of these from something else.
