About Our 6ft Wide Wooden Greenhouses
We stock 20 handcrafted 6ft wide wooden greenhouses from Swallow, the only UK manufacturer still using ThermoWood redwood pine. ThermoWood is kiln-heated to 212°C, which removes sugars and resins that attract rot and insects. The result is a frame that carries a 12-year warranty without annual preservative treatment. Every model includes 3mm toughened safety glass and automatic Bayliss XL roof vents. Standard features also cover a mortice-locking door, full-length staging, and free installation.
The range covers four product lines. The Swallow Kingfisher is the standard greenhouse, running from 6x4 to 6x20. The Swallow Cygnet adds a T-shaped front extension for extra headroom and display space. The Swallow Jay is a dedicated potting shed with solid timber panels replacing the glass on one side. All Swallow 6ft greenhouses need a level base. A concrete pad 50mm larger than the frame on each side is ideal. We can install onto paving slabs too, but they must be dead level. If your site slopes more than 10mm across the width, get it corrected before delivery. Our team checks the base on arrival and cannot install on an uneven surface.
