The standard oiled finish weathers to a soft silver-grey if you leave it. Re-oil once a year to keep the honey-brown colour instead. Painted models cost more but need less upkeep. For most gardens, I suggest the oiled finish and an annual coat.
Installer's Note
Your base must be level to within 5mm across its full area. We check every base by photograph before we schedule delivery. A base that slopes even slightly will make the door bind. Concrete is our preferred option. Budget around £400 to £700 for a professionally laid base.
