The Alderley cold frame gives seedlings a sheltered start without taking up much room. It stands 400mm high and measures 1000mm wide, so it sits neatly against a wall or at the edge of a bed.
Twin wall polycarbonate glazing holds warmth around young plants while letting the light through. The two lids open independently, and each has a stay with adjustable height settings, so you can vent one side on milder days.
It is built from hardwood and pre-painted in a grey wash, then sealed with a lacquer finish for outdoor use.
