Norhage builds greenhouses in Norway for Nordic winters. The Tre 300 is their freestanding model, and it looks different to most timber greenhouses. Instead of a straight apex roof, it uses a Gothic arch made from solid plywood ribs. That curve sheds snow rather than holding it. It is why the frame is rated to a 280 kg/m² snow load and 25 m/s wind. The frame is impregnated Swedish pine, pressure treated at the factory, so it does not need annual painting.
Most wooden greenhouses on this page are glazed in glass. The Tre 300 is glazed in 6mm twin-wall polycarbonate instead. The twin wall traps a layer of air, so it holds heat better than single glass and will not shatter. You can upgrade to 10mm or 16mm polycarbonate for colder plots. The Tre 300 needs a level, solid base. Concrete or slabs, laid flat and square along the whole 3-metre width. Build the base before delivery, so you can start the day the kit arrives. A twisted base makes the arches hard to line up.

The standard 6mm polycarbonate suits most gardens. Choose the 10mm or 16mm upgrade if your plot is exposed or you grow through winter. The thicker sheet holds more heat and stiffens the roof. It costs a little more, but it pays back on the coldest nights.
