About our greenhouse floor kits
Our greenhouse floor kits remove the need for concrete bases, paving slabs or professional ground work. The range includes Elite floor matting from £65 for smaller greenhouses. Full EcoBase foundation kits for larger structures run up to £990. Every kit is manufactured from 100% UK-sourced recycled plastic that is rot-proof and fully reusable.
We recommend floor kits to every customer who wants a quick, level base without the cost of hiring a builder. We have used these on hundreds of installations. They provide a stable, well-drained foundation that suits most greenhouse and shed sizes.
Why We Chose This Range
"Concrete bases are expensive and permanent. These floor kits can be laid by one person in under an hour and they drain perfectly. I recommend them to anyone who rents their home or wants a base they can relocate later."

Types of floor kits we offer
Elite floor matting
Interlocking recycled plastic tiles that create a clean, level floor inside your greenhouse. From £65, they suit greenhouses where you want a solid surface over bare earth.
Ecobase foundation kits
Full base systems that replace a concrete slab. The grid sits on levelled ground and supports the full weight of the greenhouse frame. No digging, no mixing, no curing time.
Matt's Tip
Before laying your floor kit, clear the ground of any sharp stones and lay a weed membrane underneath. This stops weeds growing through the grid and keeps the base clean for years. It takes 10 minutes and saves hours of weeding later.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do greenhouse floor kits replace a concrete base?
Yes, EcoBase kits are designed as a direct alternative to concrete. They support the full weight of a greenhouse frame and distribute the load evenly across the ground. No concrete mixing, no curing time and no permanent ground alteration.
-
Can one person install a greenhouse floor kit?
Yes, all our floor kits are designed for single-person assembly. The interlocking tiles or grid panels snap together by hand without tools. Most customers complete the installation in under an hour, even for larger sizes.
-
Are greenhouse floor kits suitable for sheds?
Yes, EcoBase foundation kits work for both greenhouses and sheds. The load-bearing capacity is sufficient for timber and metal shed frames. Check the product listing to confirm the kit matches your shed footprint dimensions.
-
What ground preparation is needed before laying a floor kit?
Clear the area, level the ground and lay a weed membrane. Remove turf, large stones and roots. Use a spirit level to check the ground is even. For EcoBase kits, a 50mm layer of compacted sharp sand provides the ideal sub-base.
-
Can I reuse a greenhouse floor kit if I move?
Yes, every kit is fully reusable and can be lifted and relaid. The recycled plastic tiles do not degrade in the ground. Simply disassemble, clean and reinstall at your new location. This is a major advantage over a permanent concrete base.
