Advanced layout: For larger individual pots in a 10x12 greenhouse, this kit has twenty-nine 1Pot XL trays. It includes twenty-nine 25L pots, one for each tray. These give roots more room and suit peppers, chillies, aubergines and other bushy crops. Gravity feeds water into the trays from separate reservoirs. No pump, mains water connection or electricity is needed.
For larger-rooted crops in a 10x12 greenhouse, we recommend this AutoPot automatic greenhouse irrigation system. The greenhouse watering kit has twenty-nine 1Pot XL modules.
The AQUAvalve5 handles the watering automatically. It lets a shallow 20mm layer of water into each tray, then shuts off. Once the plants have used that water, the valve opens and tops the tray up again. Water flows in by gravity from an external water butt or reservoir, so no pump is needed.
What is included
- 29x 25L Pot
- 29x 1Pot XL Tray and Lid with Grommet
- 29x AQUAvalve5
- 29x Round Root Control Disc
- 2x 16mm Click Fit Filter

What you still need
You need two separate 200L water butts or reservoirs, with 400L capacity in total. These are not included with the kit.
If you keep a reservoir inside the greenhouse, leave enough room for it. You may need to remove one or two modules.
How to set it up
- Choose a firm, level surface and check that every tray sits flat.
- Place each external water butt or reservoir 150mm / 6 inches above the system.
- Water the plants by hand when you first pot them up. Wait 7-28 days for roots to establish before turning on the system.
- Flush the pipework every week.
