About our mini greenhouses with watering systems
Every mini greenhouse in this range includes a built-in 2-tier misting system. The misting nozzles connect to your garden hose and deliver a fine spray across both shelving tiers. This keeps soil consistently moist without overwatering. For gardeners who travel, work long hours, or simply forget to water, it removes the biggest cause of seedling failure.
All 10 models are manufactured by Access in England. Frames are aluminium with 4mm toughened safety glass on every panel. Lean-to models bolt against a house wall. Freestanding models like the City Growhouse and Exbury have a glass back panel. They can stand anywhere in your garden.
Why We Chose This Range
"We started stocking Access mini greenhouses because customers kept asking for small growing spaces with automatic watering. Most mini greenhouses are basic shelving units with a plastic cover. These are proper aluminium-framed structures with toughened glass and a real misting system built in. We have fitted dozens of them against house walls, garage sides, and in courtyards. The build quality is excellent for the price."

Types of mini greenhouse we offer
Lean-to models
Hampton, Harewood, Harlow, and Hampton-D bolt against a house or garage wall. The wall stores heat during the day and releases it at night. Sizes from 2x3ft to 3x6ft. The Harlow is the most affordable at £458. The Hampton-D at 3x6ft gives the most growing space at £951.
Freestanding Models
City Growhouse, Exbury, and Mini on Wheels have a glass back panel, so they stand independently. The City Growhouse in anthracite grey suits modern gardens. The Exbury comes in 3x5ft (£1,125) and 3x6ft (£1,253). The Mini on Wheels has 4 locking castors so you can reposition it with the seasons.
Quick Guide: Lean-To or Freestanding?
If you have a south-facing wall, choose a lean-to. The brickwork adds 3-5°C of warmth overnight, which helps seedlings and overwintering plants. If you do not have a suitable wall, choose a freestanding model. You can reposition it to follow the sun.

Matt's Installation Tip
When fitting a lean-to mini greenhouse against a wall, check the brickwork first. Drill into mortar joints rather than the brick face. Use stainless steel fixings, not zinc-plated, because they will be exposed to constant moisture from the misting system. If your wall is rendered or pebbledashed, read our guide on fixing a lean-to greenhouse to an uneven wall.
Prices range from £458 for the Harlow 2x5 lean-to to £1,253 for the Exbury 3x6 freestanding. All models include free UK delivery, toughened safety glass, and the 2-tier misting watering system. For even smaller growing spaces, see our cold frames. If you need more height for taller crops, browse our full mini lean-to greenhouses range.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do mini greenhouses with watering systems need mains water?
No, they connect to a standard garden hose. The 2-tier misting system attaches to any outdoor tap via a hose connector. Turn the tap on, and the nozzles deliver a fine mist across both shelving tiers. You control the flow rate at the tap.
-
Can I use a mini greenhouse without the watering system?
Yes, the misting system is removable. You can disconnect the nozzles and hose fittings if you prefer to water by hand. The shelving and frame work independently of the watering system.
-
What is the difference between lean-to and freestanding models?
Lean-to models bolt against a wall. Freestanding models have a glass back. Lean-to designs benefit from stored wall heat, gaining 3-5°C overnight. Freestanding models like the City Growhouse and Exbury can go anywhere in your garden.
-
Will a mini greenhouse protect plants from frost?
Yes, a mini greenhouse raises internal temperature by 5-10°C. Lean-to models against a south-facing wall gain extra warmth from the brickwork. For severe frosts, add a small tube heater or fleece covers inside.
-
How much space do I need for a mini greenhouse?
The smallest models need just 800mm x 900mm of floor space. A 2x3ft lean-to fits beside most back doors. The largest models (3x6ft) need approximately 1m x 1.8m. Freestanding models need clearance on all sides for access.
