What makes the Emilia XL T-shaped?

The plan is shaped like a T. A porch bay projects from the front of the main greenhouse. It gives a wide, sheltered entrance and extra room for staging by the door.

Is the glazing real glass or polycarbonate?

It is 4mm toughened safety glass throughout. That makes the Emilia XL a true glasshouse, not a polycarbonate kit. Toughened glass is strong, clear and safe around a family garden.

How many doors and vents does it have?

It has three sets of double doors, each 1380mm wide. It also has 4 opening roof vents. The doors give easy barrow access from more than one side, and the vents release hot air in summer.

What base do I need for the XL?

You need a level, solid base across the full 4.2m x 5.4m footprint, such as concrete or paving slabs. The greenhouse should not sit on grass or bare soil. Prepare the base before delivery.

Is delivery included, and how long is the warranty?

Delivery to the UK mainland is free. The greenhouse is flat-packed for self-assembly on your prepared base. Every Palmako Emilia carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty on the timber and workmanship.

The T-shaped plan adds a projecting porch bay to the front of the greenhouse. It gives you a wide, sheltered entrance and extra room for staging at the door. The product came very well packed and the driver put it where requested on my drive. I was called a week before delivery by the office to confirm the day. Almost everything needed to construct the greenhouse was included except spanners. Wall fixings, mastic and gun were. The manual was very good but does need to be read before starting and may be a bit difficult for a non practical person to get their head around. I Would definitely recommend Greenhouse Stores and the Elite Easygrow lean-to.

Excellent varied stock. Prices & inclusive items were very favourable. Delivery & erected Swallow Jay potting shed was swift , professional, polite & efficient. I am extremely satisfied with my experience with Greenhouse Stores

The instructions were very good and building the greenhouse was like a giant mechano set. The one thing that threw me was the website and instructions showed the glazing for the walls in two pieces. What was delivered were single sections and it took me a while to find the revised instructions.

Verified Customer

I haven't managed to erect my greenhouse yet, but so looking forward to having it.

we will see after I’ve built it.

The greenhouse parts plus glass arrived safely packed.
We erected the greenhouse ourselves and after a couple of initial errors we got into the swing of it and are really pleased with the results.
The diagrams in the instruction manual could be clearer but we got there, though it did seem to take many hours.

Unfortunatly has not been put together yet,

We haven’t even opened it yet - waiting for greenhouse to be erected 😂

Verified Customer

Extremely helpful, could answer all my questions and give advice. Delivery was first class, one of the best delivery companies I've dealt with if not the best.
Product is fitted and looks great.

Verified Customer

It was easy to choose the greenhouse itself and then the extras. Hassle free and it was delivered when expected. I would however advise that you may want to hire someone to put it together for you, unless you are good at following this sort of instructions. The greenhouse looks fantastic and I am very happy to have bought it. I would recommend the Greenhouse Stores.

Verified Customer

Great in communication. Attentive. Concrete base layer needed and link to him enabled him to do it. Lean to greenhouse efficiently assembled. Highly recommended

Verified Customer

Brilliant service from start to finish and a slight issue with my order was resolved extremely quickly great service

Verified Customer

Great product and straight forward to assemble, would suggest a few addition 3D views in the assembly manual but thats only so you can confirm which orientation you are working on. Also make sure the base is securely fixed prior to the build and ensure you are within 1mm on corner to corner measuring so you know you are square before you start building up. Some of confusion on some of the instructions as the description can be read several ways. All in all a very simple build. Only concern is how it acts in strong winds, I have positioned mine adjacent to a fence on one side and a structure at the rear to try and reduce the potential for wind causing damage

About the Palmako Emilia XL T-Shaped Greenhouse

The Palmako Emilia XL is the flagship of the Emilia range. It is a T-shaped wooden greenhouse, built in high-quality Nordic spruce with 18mm tongue-and-groove walls on a 44 x 95mm post frame. The T-plan adds a projecting porch bay at the front. This gives a wide, sheltered entrance and extra staging room. It is glazed throughout in 4mm toughened safety glass, so it is a true glasshouse and not a polycarbonate kit. Prices start from £5,750.

The XL gives 19.1m2 of growing space under a 288cm ridge, with three sets of double doors and 4 opening roof vents. Choose pressure-treated timber or factory-painted grey. Every Palmako Emilia is delivered free to the UK mainland and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

Why We Chose This Range

"The XL is a serious growing house. Most timber greenhouses this size still glaze with polycarbonate. The Emilia uses 4mm toughened glass throughout, and the T-shaped porch gives a proper working entrance. At 19.1m2 it takes benching down every wall with room to move. It is a lot of glasshouse for the money."

Matt, Founder of Greenhouse Stores

Matt's Tip: Use the porch as a potting bay

The T-shaped front bay is the handy part. We set a bench across it and use it for potting on, out of the wind and rain. It keeps the main runs clear for growing. It also makes a sheltered spot to leave tools and trays mid-job.

Matt's Tip: Get the big base right first

The XL needs a level, solid base across the full 4.2m x 5.4m footprint. We use concrete or paving slabs, checked level corner to corner. Build the base before delivery. A big greenhouse on a sloping base makes the glass hard to seat and the doors hard to hang.

Palmako Emilia XL 14x18 T-Shaped Wooden Greenhouse

Matt's Pick: Emilia XL Pressure-Treated

Best For: large plots and smallholdings that want the most growing space

Why I Recommend It: the pressure-treated XL gives the full 19.1m2 T-shaped house with the lowest upkeep. No annual painting, and the same 4mm toughened glass throughout.

Price: from £5,750
