The Palmako Emilia XL is the flagship of the Emilia range. It is a T-shaped wooden greenhouse, built in high-quality Nordic spruce with 18mm tongue-and-groove walls on a 44 x 95mm post frame. The T-plan adds a projecting porch bay at the front. This gives a wide, sheltered entrance and extra staging room. It is glazed throughout in 4mm toughened safety glass, so it is a true glasshouse and not a polycarbonate kit. Prices start from £5,750.

The T-shaped front bay is the handy part. We set a bench across it and use it for potting on, out of the wind and rain. It keeps the main runs clear for growing. It also makes a sheltered spot to leave tools and trays mid-job.
Matt's Tip: Get the big base right first
The XL needs a level, solid base across the full 4.2m x 5.4m footprint. We use concrete or paving slabs, checked level corner to corner. Build the base before delivery. A big greenhouse on a sloping base makes the glass hard to seat and the doors hard to hang.

What makes the Emilia XL T-shaped?
The plan is shaped like a T. A porch bay projects from the front of the main greenhouse. It gives a wide, sheltered entrance and extra room for staging by the door.

Is the glazing real glass or polycarbonate?
It is 4mm toughened safety glass throughout. That makes the Emilia XL a true glasshouse, not a polycarbonate kit. Toughened glass is strong, clear and safe around a family garden.
