Expert guidance: the palram canopia ledro lifestyle room

The Palram Canopia Ledro is the definitive enclosed gazebo, engineered to function as a high-performance garden room, hot tub enclosure, or outdoor office. Featuring a 6mm bronzed twin-wall polycarbonate roof for thermal buffering and crystal-clear acrylic walls for panoramic visibility, it offers professional-grade durability. To ensure year-round comfort, we recommend pairing the Ledro with a 2kW or 3kW Greenhouse Heater and exploring our Greenhouse Accessories for LED lighting kits to extend your evening use.

Expert Note: If you live in a very windy or coastal spot, we recommend that you buy a Toughened Glass Greenhouse for maximum weight, but for a sheltered social space, the Ledro's aerodynamic design is a solid, maintenance-free performer.

Why We Chose This Range

“We stock the Palram Ledro because it bridges the gap between a greenhouse and a permanent garden building. Most enclosed gazebos use thin plastic sides, but the Ledro utilizes high-impact acrylic which doesn't just look better; it provides superior acoustic dampening. We specifically chose this model for its 6mm bronzed roof, the bronze tint is critical as it reduces glare and heat-spikes, making it comfortable enough for a home office or a hot tub room even in the peak of a UK summer.”

, Matt, Founder of Greenhouse Stores

Matt's installation tip: the "four-wall" square

The Ledro is a substantial structure, and its performance depends entirely on the base being 100% square. Because the two sets of double doors can be placed on any of the four sides, if the frame is even 5mm out of square, the doors will bind and the magnetic latches will fail to align.

I recommend building a solid concrete pad or a structural timber deck. Once the frame is assembled, I always advise applying a small bead of neutral-cure silicone along the bottom edge of the acrylic panels. This prevents wind-driven rain from entering the track, so your garden room stays dry during a typical British downpour. Read our full base guide here.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where can I place the doors on the Ledro garden room?

The Palram Ledro includes two sets of double sliding doors as standard. These can be placed on any of the four walls during assembly, allowing you to customize the entrance to suit your garden's layout and traffic flow.

  • Is the Ledro suitable for a hot tub?

Absolutely. The Ledro is widely used as a hot tub enclosure. The acrylic walls provide excellent wind protection while keeping the view clear, and the bronzed roof ensures privacy while reducing overhead glare from the sun.

  • What is the benefit of the bronzed roof?

The bronze tint in the 6mm twin-wall polycarbonate is designed to diffuse sunlight. This significantly reduces the "greenhouse effect" inside the room, stopping it from overheating in direct sun and providing a more comfortable ambient temperature for social use or work.

  • What is the Palram Ledro used for?

The Ledro is an enclosed garden room that works as a hot tub shelter, a home office or a social space. The acrylic walls keep wind and rain out while staying clear. The bronzed roof cuts glare so it stays usable in summer.

  • How much does the Palram Ledro cost?

The Ledro 3000 Gazebo Gardenroom is £4,000. For an enclosed, lockable garden room of its size, it sits well below the cost of a built structure. It arrives flat-packed for assembly on a level base.
