About our aluminium cube sets

Aluminium cube sets are built for gardens where space is limited. Chairs and stools tuck neatly beneath the table when not in use. This cuts the footprint by up to 60%. Cube sets suit small patios, courtyards, balconies, and narrow decked areas.

Every cube set uses powder-coated aluminium frames that resist rust and UV fading year-round. No painting, staining, or annual treatment is needed. For larger patios, our aluminium dining sets offer more legroom. If you prefer lounge seating, browse our aluminium corner sofa sets.

Why We Chose This Range

“Cube sets are the smartest furniture design for small gardens. Everything tucks away into one neat cube. Customers with compact patios always end up choosing these. Most UK gardens are under 50 square metres. A standard dining set can take up a third of the usable area. With a cube set, the chairs disappear under the table and you get your patio back.”

Types of aluminium cube sets

4-Seat cube sets

Compact dining for four people. The stored cube needs roughly 1m x 1m of floor space. Pull out the chairs and you have a full dining setup. Ideal for balconies, small courtyards, and narrow patios where a standard table would block the walkway.

8-Seat cube sets

Larger cube design seating up to 8 guests. The stored footprint is roughly 1.5m x 1.5m. Four chairs and four stools tuck beneath a wider table. Suits family dining and entertaining without permanently occupying your patio.

Quick Guide: A 4-seat cube set needs roughly 1.5m x 1.5m of patio space when chairs are pulled out. An 8-seat set needs about 2m x 2m. Check chair height against table clearance before buying. Chairs need at least 5cm of vertical gap to slide under smoothly.

Matt's Buying Tip: Measure Your Doorway

If you plan to store the set indoors over winter, measure your patio door first. Most cube table tops are 100 to 120cm wide. A standard UK patio door is 76cm. The table may not fit through without removing the legs. Check the product dimensions before ordering.

All aluminium cube sets include free UK delivery. Frames carry up to 5-year warranties. Sets arrive partially assembled and take 30 to 60 minutes to put together. Browse the full garden furniture range or add a parasol for shade on sunny days.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a cube garden furniture set?

A cube set is a dining set where chairs tuck fully under the table. When stored, the whole set forms a compact cube shape. This saves 40 to 60% of floor space compared to a standard dining set. Cube sets typically seat 4 to 8 people.

  • Are cube sets stable on decking?

Yes, cube sets sit flat and stable on timber decking. The wide leg bases distribute weight evenly across the boards. Avoid placing sets on uneven or soft ground. Use rubber foot pads to prevent scuffing on softwood decking.

  • Can I leave a cube set outside all year?

The aluminium frame can stay outside in all weather. Powder-coated finishes prevent rust and UV damage throughout the year. Store cushions indoors during winter to extend their life. A breathable furniture cover protects the frame from leaf debris.

  • How much patio space do I need for a cube set?

A 4-seat cube set needs roughly 1.5m x 1.5m of patio space. Allow an extra 60cm around the outside for pulling out chairs. An 8-seat set needs approximately 2m x 2m. The stored cube shape is much smaller, freeing your patio between meals.

  • Do cube set chairs have cushions?

Most cube sets include removable seat and back cushions. Cushion fabrics are typically showerproof polyester or acrylic blends. Store cushions in a dry box when not in use. Replacement cushions are available from the manufacturer if needed.

  • How do cube sets compare to standard dining sets?

Cube sets save up to 60% more space than standard dining sets. Standard dining sets leave chairs permanently around the table. Cube sets let you reclaim your patio after each meal. The trade-off is slightly less legroom when seated.
