About our aluminium dining sets
Our aluminium dining sets are built for outdoor meals from spring through autumn. Both sets use powder-coated aluminium frames from the Handpicked Babingley range. The frames resist rust, UV fading, and frost without any annual treatment. Deep-filled polyester and acrylic cushions provide genuine comfort across long dinners.
The Babingley 4-Seat Bar Set offers a raised bar-height design for casual drinks. The 6-Seat Dining Set provides a full-size table for family meals. For lounge-style seating, see our aluminium sofa sets. For space-saving options, browse our aluminium cube sets.
Why We Chose This Range
“The Babingley dining sets are the ones we recommend most. The aluminium frame won’t rust and the cushions dry in minutes after a shower. We rejected four other brands before settling on Babingley. The frame profiles are thicker than most competitors and the cushion fill density is noticeably better. After a full season of testing, the cushions still bounced back to shape.”

Quick Guide: The 4-Seat Bar Set needs roughly 2m x 1.5m of patio space. The 6-Seat Dining Set requires approximately 3m x 2m. Allow an extra 60cm around all edges for pulling out chairs. Measure your patio before ordering.
Matt's buying tip: bar set vs dining set
The 4-Seat Bar Set works best for casual drinks and lighter meals. At 110cm tall, you perch rather than sit. That suits socialising but not long dinners. For regular outdoor meals, the 6-Seat Dining Set at 74cm height is far more comfortable for extended sitting.
Aluminium dining sets start from £909 for the 4-seat bar set. The 6-seat dining set costs £1,399. Both include free UK delivery and a 5-year frame warranty. Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is the difference between a bar set and a dining set?
Bar sets have taller tables (around 110cm) with bar stools. Dining sets use standard-height tables (around 74cm) with regular chairs. Bar sets suit casual drinks and lighter meals. Dining sets are better for longer, sit-down meals with family or guests.
-
How do I protect the cushions over winter?
Store cushions indoors or in a waterproof storage box. The polyester and acrylic fabric is showerproof but not designed for prolonged soaking. Bringing cushions inside between October and March extends their life by two to three years. The aluminium frames can stay outside year-round.
-
Will the babingley sets fit on a standard UK patio?
The 4-Seat Bar Set needs roughly 2m x 1.5m of space. The 6-Seat Dining Set requires approximately 3m x 2m. Allow an extra 60cm around all edges for pulling out chairs. Measure your patio before ordering to confirm the set fits with room to move.
-
Are these sets difficult to assemble?
Both sets arrive partially assembled and take 30 to 60 minutes. Two people are recommended for lifting the table. All bolts, fixings, and basic tools are included. No drilling or specialist equipment is required.
-
What colour options are available?
Both Babingley sets come in Anthracite Grey. This dark grey finish suits most garden styles and hides minor marks well. The powder-coated surface resists fading from UV exposure over many seasons.
-
How long will the aluminium frame last?
Aluminium frames typically last 15 to 20 years with minimal care. The powder-coated finish prevents rust and UV damage. Wipe down with warm soapy water once or twice per season. Both Babingley sets carry a 5-year manufacturer warranty against defects.
