This Danish-style ebb and flow tray is 4 x 204 x 80cm, moulded from UV-proof virgin plastic. The gutters lead to a deeper drainage point fitted with a lead through for water in and out. It links to 25mm PVC couplings from any hardware shop. A matching aluminium grow table carries the full length.
As a flood and drain bed, a pump raises a layer of nutrient solution into the tray at timed intervals, then drains it away. The wide deck holds plenty of salad leaves, herbs or seed trays. Running dry between cycles keeps the roots oxygenated. Lead throughs not included.
