About our elite dwarf wall 6ft wide greenhouses

Elite Dwarf Wall 6ft Wide Greenhouses combine the height advantage of a brick base with the practicality of a narrower footprint. These models sit on a 762mm high dwarf wall, raising the eaves to 7ft 7" and providing better growing height for tomatoes, cucumbers, and climbing plants without requiring a wider space. The 6ft 3" width fits comfortably in typical UK garden plots while still offering 25-30% more vertical growing space compared to standard greenhouses.

Why We Chose This Range

“We curating the Elite Dwarf Wall 6ft range for gardeners who want the 'Grand Conservatory' look in a suburban garden. The primary reason we recommend dwarf walls isn't just the Victorian style; it's the thermal regulation. The 762mm brick base acts as a giant radiator, absorbing solar energy during the day and releasing it slowly at night. We specifically chose Elite for this range because they provide precision-engineered base plans, at this level of investment, you need the frame to fit the brickwork perfectly, and Elite's tolerances are the best in the industry.”

, Matt, Founder of Greenhouse Stores

Matt's installation tip: the "base plan" golden rule

Never, under any circumstances, allow your builder to start the brickwork using standard '6x8' dimensions. A Dwarf Wall greenhouse requires exact millimeter precision. Once you place your order, we will email you the official Elite technical drawing.

Ensure your builder uses a Class B Engineering Brick for the top course. This ensures a non-porous surface for the aluminium cill to sit on, stopping moisture from creeping between the brick and the frame. Importantly, check that the wall is perfectly level and square across the diagonals; if the wall is out by even 5mm, the toughened glass panels will not seat correctly. Dwarf wall design benefits:

  • 762mm High Brick Base Required - You build the wall, providing thermal mass that maintains 3-5°C warmer temperatures during cold snaps.
  • 7ft 7" Ridge Height - 18-24" taller than standard 6ft greenhouses, allowing better air circulation.
  • Low-Threshold Entrance - No trip hazard step, making wheelbarrow access and elderly-friendly entry significantly easier.

Construction & glazing:

  • 20 Year Elite Factory Warranty - For Peace of Mind.
  • 3mm Toughened Safety Glass - 5x stronger than horticultural glass, resists impact damage.
  • Aluminium Frame in 10 Colours - Maintenance-free powder coating.
  • Built-In Gutter System - Channels rainwater for collection.
