The Power 12x10 Apex Workshop Log Cabin is a great solution for anyone looking for a spacious and stylish garden storage room. The high-quality materials and construction make this Workshop a durable and long-lasting investment for your home. Whether you are looking for a place to work, relax or exercise, an Apex Workshop Log Cabin from this range will be the perfect solution.

The Power 12x10 Apex 28mm Log Workshop is a beautifully crafted garden building that is made in Britain from high-quality, sustainable Scandinavian timber used for its strength and durability. The 28mm interlocking logs are precision machined for easy assembly and a tight fit and 19mm Thick Roof and Floor Boards are used for stability. This attention to detail carries through from the maintenance-free EPDM Firestone Roof Covering to the Joiner Made Doors and Double Glazed Windows all backed up by a 10-year Warranty.

Secure Door

With the multitude of uses you can use this Workshop Log Cabin for, security is of the highest priority that's why you'll find a 3 Lever Lock on the Heavy Duty Joiner Made Doors. The Toughened Glas used in the Windows also adds to the extra security of the Workshop.

Scandinavian Timber

The walls of the log cabin are made from high grade Scandinavian Timber, which is sourced responsibly. This ensures that the cabin is built to last, with tongue & groove boards making up the floor and roof. Tanalised timber bearers are also provided to protect the floor and keep the cabin raised off the ground. This makes the log cabin a great choice for anyone looking for a robust and durable option.

Sustainable - We give back

We only use FSC certified timber from suppliers who are themselves FSC certified. This means that the wood has been responsibly sourced and the forests have been carefully selected. We also support our local community through numerous charity and community initiatives. Not only do we feel we have a responsibility to look after the planet, but we also want to give back to the community that supports us.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a garden room?

A garden room is a versatile outdoor structure that provides additional living space separate from your main house. It's perfect for home offices, gyms, art studios, or relaxation areas, offering a multi-functional solution to extend your living space without a full home extension.

  • Do I need planning permission for a garden room?

In most cases, garden rooms fall under permitted development rights and don't require planning permission. However, structures over 2.5m high or placed within 2m of property boundaries may need approval. Always check with your local council for specific regulations.

  • How long do garden rooms last?

With proper maintenance and quality materials, a garden room can last 25 years or more. Regular treatment, good ventilation, and protection from the elements significantly extend its lifespan.

  • Are garden rooms suitable for year-round use?

Yes, modern garden rooms are designed for all-season use. With proper insulation, double-glazed windows, and heating options, they can be comfortable spaces throughout the year.

  • What's the best base for a garden room?

A solid, level base is crucial. Concrete slabs or a poured concrete foundation are popular choices for their durability and stability. Ensure the base is slightly elevated to prevent water ingress and promote air circulation.

  • Can I add electricity to my garden room?

Absolutely! Many people add electricity for lighting, heating, and to power devices. However, this should be done by a qualified electrician to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

  • How do I maintain my garden room?

Regular maintenance includes treating the wood every 3-5 years, checking for any gaps or damage, keeping gutters clear, and ensuring good ventilation. Remove nearby vegetation and debris to prevent moisture buildup.

  • Will a garden room add value to my property?

Yes, a well-designed and constructed garden room can significantly increase your property's value. It adds usable space and appeals to potential buyers looking for home office or additional living areas.

  • Can I use my garden room as accommodation?

While garden rooms are not typically designed for permanent living, they can be used as occasional guest accommodation. For permanent residence, you'll need to comply with full building regulations and possibly seek planning permission.

  • What's the difference between a garden room and a conservatory?

Garden rooms are separate structures in your garden, offering more privacy and versatility. Conservatories are typically attached to the house and have more glazing, acting as a bridge between indoor and outdoor spaces.

  • How long does it take to build a garden room?

Construction time varies depending on size and complexity, but most garden rooms can be built in 1-2 weeks. This includes preparation, assembly, and finishing touches.

  • Can I customize my garden room?

Absolutely! Garden rooms are highly customizable. You can choose the size, style, roof type, window and door configurations, and interior finishes to suit your specific needs and aesthetic preferences.

  • Are garden rooms energy efficient?

Modern garden rooms can be very energy efficient. With proper insulation, double-glazed windows, and energy-efficient heating options, they can maintain comfortable temperatures without excessive energy use.

  • What types of roofs are available for garden rooms?

Common roof types include apex (pitched), pent (sloped), and flat roofs. Each offers different aesthetic and practical benefits, so choose based on your preferences and local climate conditions.

  • How do I prevent damp in my garden room?

Proper ventilation is key. Ensure the room is built on a suitable base, use pressure-treated timber, and maintain good air circulation. Regular inspections and prompt repairs of any leaks or gaps will also help prevent damp issues.
