About our swing seats
Garden swing seats and hanging egg chairs bring relaxation to any outdoor space. Each swing uses sturdy powder-coated steel or aluminium frames built for year-round British weather. Padded cushions and adjustable canopies provide comfort in sun or light showers.
Swing seats suit gardens of every size. Compact egg chairs fit on balconies. Full 3-seater swings suit larger lawns. For fixed seating, see our rattan sofa sets or browse the full garden furniture range. Add a parasol for extra shade on sunny days.
Why We Chose This Range
“Hanging egg chairs have been our fastest-growing category. They’re not just for show. The enclosed design keeps you sheltered from wind. We only stock swing seats with frames rated for 150kg or more. Lightweight budget swings buckle within a season. Ours are built to last through years of daily use.”

Traditional swing seats
Classic 2-seater and 3-seater garden swings with adjustable canopies. Steel frames support up to 200kg. Padded bench seating with removable cushions. The canopy provides shelter from light rain and direct sun. Suits larger lawns and patio edges.
Hanging egg chairs
Modern enclosed pod chairs on freestanding frames. The curved basket shape supports your back and neck naturally. Deep cushions and a headrest add comfort for reading or napping. Compact footprint suits smaller patios and balconies.
Quick Guide: Allow a 2m x 2m area for a standard 2-seater swing. This includes clearance for the swinging motion. Freestanding egg chair frames need roughly 1.5m x 1.5m. Always place swing seats on a flat, hard surface such as paving or decking.
Matt's Buying Tip: Surface and Placement
Place your swing seat on paving or decking. On soft ground, the legs sink unevenly and the frame rocks. If grass is your only option, put concrete paving slabs under each foot. Check you have at least 1 metre of clear space behind the swing for the full range of motion.
All swing seats include free UK delivery. Frames support a minimum of 150kg. Most models require basic assembly taking 30 to 60 minutes with two people. All bolts, fixings, and tools are included in the box.

What weight can a garden swing seat hold?

How much space does a swing seat need?
