About Our Vitavia Phoenix Greenhouses
The Vitavia Phoenix Greenhouse (also known as the Vitavia Arizona) is a premium 8ft-wide model designed for accessibility and high-performance gardening. These aluminium-framed structures are distinguished by their Low Threshold Entrance, removing the traditional step to provide safe, "no-trip" access for wheelchairs, walking sticks, and wheelbarrows.
💡 Innovation Highlight: If you choose toughened safety glass or 6mm polycarbonate, you can opt for the Vitavia Glazing Capping. These long plastic strips replace traditional wire clips, holding the glazing firmly in the frame to prevent vibration and increase sturdiness in windy UK conditions.
Every Phoenix greenhouse comes backed by a 12-Year Warranty on the aluminium frame. You can customise your growing space with lengths up to 14ft and choose from three high-quality finishes: Anodised Aluminium, Powder-Coated Green, or Black.
Why We Chose This Range
“We've stocked Vitavia since our early days because of their focus on practical innovation. The Phoenix solved the single biggest complaint we heard from gardeners: the trip hazard of the door track. By integrating the base and lowering the threshold, Vitavia created a professional-grade 8ft greenhouse that is genuinely accessible for every gardener.”

✅ Choosing the Right Size: All Phoenix models maintain a generous 8ft width, providing ample room for staging on both sides. The Phoenix 6700 (8x8) is perfect for standard suburban plots, while the Phoenix 11500 (8x14) offers over 11.5m² of growing area for serious enthusiasts. Every model includes double sliding doors and at least two roof vents as standard for maximum ventilation.
Model Comparison: Which Phoenix is Right for You?
| Model | Width | Ideal For | Key Technical Spec |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phoenix 6700 | 8ft 5in | Smaller gardens needing 8ft width | 2.57m x 2.57m footprint with 2 roof vents |
| Phoenix 8300 | 8ft 5in | Most popular all-rounder | 2.57m x 3.21m footprint with 4 roof vents |
| Phoenix 9900 | 8ft 5in | Larger vegetable crops | 2.57m x 3.83m footprint with 4 roof vents |
| Phoenix 11500 | 8ft 5in | Professional/Large allotments | 2.57m x 4.45m footprint with 4 roof vents |
Structural Features: The Phoenix features an Integrated Base Plinth, which simplifies the assembly process and ensures the frame is rigid from the ground up. With a ridge height of 2.52m (8'3"), there is significant vertical space for tall crops like vine tomatoes and cucumbers.
Glazing Options Explained: Horticultural Glass is the traditional, cost-effective choice. Toughened Safety Glass (3mm) is recommended for gardens with children or pets, as it shatters into small pebbles if broken. Polycarbonate (6mm) provides the best insulation and is virtually unbreakable, protecting your plants from frost and accidental impact.
🔧 Matt's Installation Tip: Base Preparation
The unique No-Trip Low Threshold is brilliant for access, but it demands precision. Unlike standard bases that can bridge gaps, this threshold requires a perfectly level foundation for the doors to slide smoothly.
We recommend using 50mm paving slabs on a 50mm compacted sand bed rather than concrete. This allows you to adjust individual slabs if the ground settles over time, ensuring your 12-year warranty remains valid. Read our full base guide here.
Useful Add-Ons: Fit a rainwater downpipe kit to channel roof run-off into a water butt, and add Vitavia screw hooks to string up tall crops like tomatoes. British gardeners will also benefit from our Free UK Mainland Delivery, typically arriving within 1-6 weeks.
🌿 What Makes Vitavia Different: Vitavia is a leading European manufacturer known for combining affordability with high-end features like the low threshold entrance. Their anodised aluminium frames are resistant to unsightly "white rust," maintaining their appearance for years. With our nationwide installation service, you can have your Phoenix professionally built by experts.
