Stand a 52 x 52cm ebb and flow tray on this little aluminium table and you have a tidy growing bench. It reaches 40cm high and takes 60kg. We build the frame from 25 x 25 x 2mm aluminium with steel-cored connectors, so a full tray of water does not make it wobble. Twist the feet to level it on a bumpy greenhouse floor.
Working on a raised bench beats kneeling on cold ground. Your salad leaves and herbs stay clean, away from slugs, and your back thanks you. Slide a small water tank in below if you fancy adding a pump later. The tray itself is bought on its own.
