About Our Grow Lights
Plants need light to grow, and indoors that means an LED grow light. A good one gives the full spectrum a plant uses, without the heat or running cost of older lamps. We stock Sanlight EVO and Flex, HortiONE and G-Bars bars, rated from 10 Watt up to 400 Watt.
Pick the wattage to suit the area you are lighting. A small propagation tray needs a 10 to 20 Watt bar. A full 1m² cabinet of fruiting plants wants 300 Watt or more.

Which grow light do I need?
Match the wattage to your growing area. A propagation bar suits seedlings; a full-power LED suits fruiting plants in a cabinet.
Are LED grow lights cheap to run?
Yes, LED draws far less power than older grow lamps. It also runs cooler, so the growing space stays easier to manage.
What can I grow under these lights?
Salad leaves, herbs, microgreens, tomatoes and chillies all grow well. Lower-watt bars are best for raising seedlings and cuttings.
Do I need a dimmer?
A dimmer helps but is not essential. It lets you lower the light for young plants and raise it as they grow, which protects tender seedlings.
How high should a grow light hang?
Follow the maker's stated height for the model. Hanging too close scorches leaves; too far and plants stretch and go leggy.

Placing the order on the website was a smooth and easy process. The greenhouse arrived within the timeframe advised which was within a couple of weeks. We had never built a greenhouse before and it proved challenging at times! We followed the insturctions carefully, but they could have been made easier being in silver or a lighter colour not dark blue as the pictures were difficult to decipher! We perservered and used some common sense and google along the way and between two of us we managed to fully build the greenhouse with the glass, door, staging and vent in 3 full days (over two weekends). It looks wonderful and is good quality, strong. We are over the moon and would definitely recommend this company. Thank you! We tried to upload photos but unsuccessfully.

I purchased the Vitavia 6 x 6 Apollo greenhouse for my garden, it was delivered and assembled with great care. I have been using my greenhouse for a few months now and I love it. The self opening/closing window is a very handy feature. The only slight negative is that the door runner base collects dirt and water and needs frequent cleaning to keep the sliding door running smoothly. Overall I am delighted with my greenhouse and received good customer service from Greenhouse Stores.
