About our power pent log cabins
Power pent log cabins feature 44mm tongue-and-groove walls with a sleek single-slope roof designed for modern gardens. The 20x18ft model at £9,269 is one of the largest we stock. It provides over 33 square metres of floor space.
Every Power pent cabin includes double-glazed uPVC windows and doors, EPDM rubber roofing, 5-point security locks and a 10-year warranty. For a lighter-use budget option, see our 28mm pent cabins. Browse the full Power garden buildings range for chalet and apex roof styles.
Why We Chose This Range
"The 44mm pent is what I recommend for anyone who needs serious floor space. The 20x18 model is large enough for a full home gym, office with meeting area, or a garden studio. The 44mm walls hold heat well enough for year-round use without heavy insulation."

Matt's Tip
For the 20x18ft pent, plan your electrics before the build starts. Run armoured cable from the house to the base position before the build. Have an electrician wire sockets and lighting as the walls go up. Retrofitting is much harder once the cabin is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How big is the Power 20x18ft pent log cabin?
The 20x18ft pent cabin provides over 33 square metres of floor space. That is roughly the size of a large double garage. It suits a home gym, studio, workshop or multi-zone office with a seating area.
-
Are 44mm pent cabins warm enough for winter use?
Yes, the 44mm walls provide good natural insulation for UK winters. The double-glazed windows and EPDM roof retain heat well. Most customers find a single panel heater keeps the space warm in January.
-
What is the advantage of a pent roof over an apex?
A pent roof sits lower at the back, ideal for boundary positions. The single slope simplifies construction and reduces overall building height. This helps with planning regulations in smaller gardens.
-
Do I need planning permission for a 20x18ft cabin?
Buildings over 15 square metres with electrics may require building regulations approval. The 20x18ft cabin exceeds this threshold. Check with your local authority before ordering. Most councils approve garden buildings quickly when they meet height and boundary setback rules.
-
What base preparation is needed for a large pent cabin?
A reinforced concrete slab at least 100mm thick is essential for large cabins. The base must be perfectly level to within 5mm across the full footprint. For a 20x18ft building, hire a professional to pour the slab to avoid problems during assembly.
