3x6 Mini Greenhouses

About our 3x6 mini greenhouses

See the perfect balance of compact design and generous growing space with our collection of 3x6 Mini Greenhouses. Ideal for urban gardens, patios, or narrow side returns, these structures offer approximately 18 square feet of growing area, significantly more than standard cold frames. The 3ft depth is a key feature, allowing you to reach the back of the greenhouse comfortably while providing enough room for larger crops like tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers to thrive.

Our range features high-quality designs, including Mini Lean-To Greenhouses With Backs that can stand independently or against a wall. Unlike cheaper alternatives, these models are designed to withstand the UK weather, often featuring architectural aluminium frames and toughened safety glass. Whether you are upgrading from 2x3 Mini Greenhouses or starting fresh, our collection offers a solid solution. With Free UK Delivery and a 10 Year Warranty on many models, upgrading your garden has never been easier.

Choosing your 3x6 mini greenhouse

When selecting a 3x6 Mini Greenhouse, consider the specific "footprint" available in your garden. The 3ft x 6ft dimensions are particularly versatile; many models are designed to fit neatly onto standard paving slabs, making base preparation simple.

Frequently asked questions about 3x6 mini greenhouses

• What can I grow in a 3x6 mini greenhouse?

You can surprisingly grow a lot! The 18 sq ft space comfortably holds 6-8 full-sized tomato plants or cucumber vines. The 3ft depth also allows for tiered shelving, well suited to starting dozens of seed trays in spring before moving them outdoors.

• Do 3x6 greenhouses require a concrete base?

Not necessarily. While a level concrete or paved base is best, many models can be placed on soil if anchored correctly. However, for stability and cleanliness, we recommend laying standard paving slabs.

• How do I add accessories like staging or extra vents?

We make this simple. On each greenhouse product page, we list all compatible accessories, from Greenhouse Staging and shelving to extra vents and rainwater kits. You can select everything you need in one place, so it's perfectly tailored to your chosen greenhouse model before you add it to your basket.

• How much do 3x6 mini greenhouses cost?

Quality models start around £450 for plain aluminium finishes. Premium powder-coated versions with extra shelving and misting systems typically range from £700 to £1,000+.

• Is installation available for these models?

Yes, for many of our premium brands, we offer a professional installation service. You can see if this option is available on the individual product page. If you prefer DIY, browse our Mini Greenhouses section for simpler self-assembly kits.

• Do I need planning permission for a 3x6 greenhouse?

Generally, no. A 3x6 greenhouse is considered a "temporary structure" and falls under permitted development rights, provided it is not in a front garden or taller than 2.5m (if close to a boundary). Always check local rules if you live in a listed property.
