Mini Greenhouses on Wheels

About our mini greenhouses on wheels

Our mini greenhouses on wheels are both manufactured in the UK by Access, a specialist in compact aluminium greenhouses. Unlike cheap poly-cover grow houses, these are proper aluminium-framed units with 4mm toughened safety glass, lockable castors, and built-in mist watering systems. The wheels let you chase sunlight across your patio or balcony, then lock in position once you've found the perfect spot.

Both models suit patios, balconies, courtyards, and small gardens where a permanent greenhouse won't fit. They're also ideal for gardeners who rent and can't install a fixed structure. If you prefer a stationary unit, browse our mini greenhouses collection or our wall-mounted mini greenhouses for fixed options.

Frequently Asked Questions

• How much do mini greenhouses on wheels cost?

We sell two models: the Access Growhouse at £628 and the Mini Greenhouse at £816. Both are premium UK-manufactured aluminium units with toughened safety glass, lockable castors, and built-in mist watering systems. Both include free UK mainland delivery and a 25-year warranty.

• Are mini greenhouses on wheels stable in the wind?

Yes, both models have four lockable castors that hold the unit firmly in place. The aluminium frame and toughened glass handle normal British weather without issue. For extra stability in exposed spots, park the unit against a wall or fence. In severe storms, you can quickly wheel it into a sheltered position, that's the whole point of having wheels.

• What can I grow in a mini greenhouse on wheels?

Herbs, salad leaves, chillies, strawberries, and seedling propagation work best. The compact Growhouse suits seed trays and small pots across its two adjustable shelves. The taller Mini Greenhouse handles larger plants on three levels. Both models maintain temperatures 5-10°C above ambient, extending your growing season into early spring and late autumn.

• What surface do wheeled greenhouses need?

Any flat, hard surface works, paving, concrete, decking, or a level patio. Avoid grass, gravel, or soft ground where the castors will sink. The units don't need a foundation or base preparation. Just wheel them into position on a flat surface and lock the castors.

• How does the built-in mist watering system work?

Both models include an integrated mist watering system that connects to a standard garden hose. It delivers a fine spray across the shelves, keeping humidity levels consistent without waterlogging. The taller Mini Greenhouse has a 2-tier system covering upper and lower shelves independently. Run it for 2-3 minutes morning and evening in summer for best results.

• Do I need tools to assemble a wheeled mini greenhouse?

You'll need a Phillips screwdriver and about 1-2 hours. Both Access models arrive flat-packed with pre-drilled aluminium sections and clear instructions. The toughened glass panels slot into channels in the frame. The castors bolt onto the base. One person can assemble either model, though a second pair of hands makes handling the glass easier.

• What is the difference between the Growhouse and Mini Greenhouse?

The Growhouse is wider and shorter (1000x530x1030mm), the Mini Greenhouse is narrower and taller (800x590x1550mm). The Growhouse works best at table height for seed starting and herbs. The Mini Greenhouse gives you more vertical growing space with three shelf levels including a toughened glass centre shelf. Both share the same aluminium frame, toughened glass, lockable castors, and 25-year warranty.
