About Our Climate-Controlled Grow Cabinets
A climate-controlled cabinet is a sealed growing box with the airflow already worked out for you. Each Bonanza model ships with a fan, a carbon filter and a silencer matched to its internal volume, so the air moves at the right rate from day one. The panels are a PVC/XPS sandwich on aluminium profiles, which holds steady temperature and shrugs off damp far better than timber. Prices here run from £919 for the bench model up to £1,605 for the full 1m² cabinet.
The choice comes down to how many plants you raise. The 119cm bench model and the 176cm tall 0.35m² cabinet both hold nine 6.5 litre pots or four 11 litre pots. The 1m² cabinet steps up to fifteen 6.5 litre pots or eight 11 litre pots, with a two-speed fan to match the bigger space. If you only want the shell, buy an empty cabinet and pair it with your own fans and filters.
Why We Chose This Range
"We added the climate-controlled cabinets because the airflow question trips people up more than anything else. Buy a fan that is too strong and it dries the box out; too weak and the air goes stale. Bonanza pairs the fan, filter and silencer to the cabinet volume for you, which removes the part beginners get wrong. If you already own a fan and filter, save the money and start with an empty cabinet instead. If you are growing salad and herbs from scratch indoors, the matched set is the easier first buy."
— Matt, Founder of Greenhouse Stores💡 Tip: Put the tallest crops nearest the air inlet. Tomatoes and chillies transpire hard, so steady fresh air at canopy height keeps humidity in check and cuts the risk of mould on the lower leaves.
🔧 Matt's Tip: Match pot litres to the cabinet
Work backwards from pot size. Nine 6.5 litre pots fill a 0.35m² cabinet nicely; cram in 11 litre pots and you get four. The 1m² cabinet doubles that. Overfilling chokes the airflow the fan was sized for, so leave gaps between pots.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is a climate-controlled grow cabinet?
It is a sealed growing box sold with the airflow built in. Each Bonanza cabinet arrives with a fan, carbon filter and silencer matched to its internal volume, so temperature and air movement stay steady for salad, herbs and seedlings.
-
What comes included with the cabinet?
The fan, carbon filter and silencer, sized to the cabinet. You also get the aluminium frame, PVC/XPS sandwich panels and air inlets. Just add your light and pots to start growing.
-
How many plants does each cabinet hold?
The bench and 0.35m² models take nine 6.5 litre pots or four 11 litre pots. The 1m² cabinet holds fifteen 6.5 litre pots or eight 11 litre pots. Leave gaps so air can circulate.
-
Do I need a separate grow light?
Yes, lights are bought separately. Match a grow light to the cabinet width so the canopy is lit evenly. Our team can suggest a wattage for your crop if you call.
-
Why choose climate-controlled over an empty cabinet?
It removes the airflow guesswork. The fan and filter come paired to the box, so you skip the sizing maths. An empty cabinet suits growers who already own a fan and filter.
-
Can I make the cabinet taller later?
Yes, the Bonanza cabinets take a height extension set. See cabinet extensions and spares for the kit that matches your model. It adds growing height without a new cabinet.
